If someone had told Isabelle that one day she would have to get ready for a night, in honor of the fact that she had been hired to work in an office, she would have laughed right in your face. She wouldn't even try to ask for explanations, she would simply think it was a joke, since she herself tended to do it too.

But, it was really happening. No joke, no senseless work for just a few dollars.

After receiving that call telling her she had been hired at the job, and should start next week, she almost wanted to throw the phone across the room and scream.

Fucking scream, but for no apparent reason. Maybe because she was excited that they had chosen her out of — quite possibly, thousands of other people who had interviewed. Or because she completely hated the fact that she had to actually work, or maybe because she felt a mix of emotions and didn't really know how to express them.

Isabelle was a complete mess, however, and this situation only proved it further. She liked the idea of having a job, but couldn't stand that she really had to do it.

As she finished spraying the last drops of perfume, she breathed a sigh of relief as she noticed the fact that she was perfectly on time, early even. She was sure Pope would be surprised not to see her late, which practically happened every day.

"I'll wait for you downstairs! Don't be late." Isa then said at her sister, Evie, who simply replied with 'Okay' in response.

The sound of her heels echoed through the empty hallway as she hurried out the door, closing it afterward.

And behind it, she left a version of herself that she wished she had never had.

"Someone's looking pretty hot today" Isa's best friend, Madison, said with a smile as she pulled away from the suffocating embrace she had just engaged the girl in, taking her time to carefully scrutinize the slightly revealing dress she was wearing.
