As soon as the incessant sound of the alarm clock coming from Isabelle's phone reached her ears, she realized that having a night out the day before work was a bad idea. Really fucking bad. Most likely she had let herself get caught up in the euphoria of the moment, without thinking that on her first day she would look like a real zombie due to the late hours without sleep.

She hurried to put an end to the infernal sound, and didn't even realize she wasn't alone until she looked down and met Pope's sleeping face. His head was buried in the crook of her neck, expression peaceful as if he was having the best sleep ever, while his strong arms were wrapped tightly around her waist.

A smile appeared on Isa's face, and she automatically ran her fingers through the boy's hair. It seemed that the alarm hadn't bothered him at all.

As much as she wanted to stay in that position, in the comfortable bed with the sheets and blankets practically swallowing them, being late on the first day of work was not an appealing thought. For nothing.

"Pope," She whispered after a few minutes, shaking his shoulder gently as she sat up with her shoulder against the headboard. "Wake up"

He let out a small grunt, snuggling further into the girl. That made her roll her eyes, proceeding with little touched on his cheek. "C'mon, we have to go to work. It's my first day too, idiot."

"It's still early" Pope's hoarse voice reached her ears, like a caress that made her feel small shivers all down her spine. She hadn't realized yet how close he was to her.

She playfully pushed him away from her, huffing. "No it's not. It's very, very late"

At the sight of her wanting to get up, his hands snaked to her waist again, preventing her from moving. "You're insisting just because you know you'll waste hours preparing" He said sarcastically, his chin now resting on her shoulder from behind.
