73 : Love Has No Distance #2

Hunter p. o. v.

I was awoken by sunlight through the window. I rubbed my eyes then checked at my watch. It was already morning and that means I already arrived at my next stop.

I rushed down from the bus and ordered for a ride to the park because I asked Crosshair to take his family there for a surprise.

Next, I noticed a taxi came to me and I was on the way to the park. It only took 10 minutes with any transportations. After I payed a taxi driver some cash.

I entered the park to looking my daughter. Soon after that, I saw they were having a picnic. It was my time to surprise her.

Omega p. o. v.

Uncle Crosshair took us to have a morning picnic. That was something new. We were used to have picnic at afternoon. At least, 10 a. m. But this time, we had a picnic at 8 a. m.

Suddenly I heard the twins had a fight over food again. "Hey, I wanna a chocolate one !" Arrow said then Miles responded "Get your own one. There's a strawberry." She shook her head "No, I wanna a chocolate !"

Aunt Queenie handled them "Arrow, Miles, you two have to share, remember ?" The twins sighed "Yes mom."

Then I heard something familiar from the back as I felt hands on my shoulder.

"How's your picnic going ?" I immediately turned around and smiled at him "Dad !" He hugged me from the back "Hello pancake." He kissed my cheek then sat besides me.

Then I took a strawberry bread and cut into two slices so I could share with him "Here's your breakfast, dad. You must been tired to coming here." He chuckled as took it a slice "Thank you, Omega."

After we had a outdoor breakfast, we had a discuss "So what are we gonna do today ?" My dad asked.

"Can we play there, dad, please ?" Arrow pulled Uncle Crosshair's hand. Miles did the same way with his other hand "Yeah, dad, can we ?" Uncle Crosshair nodded "Alright, alright, let's go, kids !"

The twins cheered as they three were heading to the playground first. "You ready to play, kid ?" Dad asked me and I nodded as taking his hand "Let's do this !"

We had so fun together. We played slides, see saw, and my favorite part was swimming because dad always pushed me of this one.

"Higher, dad ! higher !" I asked him.

"Alright, a little higher !" He became pushed harder. I had some much fun swimming until my head felt little dizzy.

Dad quickly noticed me so he stopped me swimming and he caught me when I almost fell "I got you, pancake. Are you okay ?" I shaked my head as tried to get my balance "Yeah, I'm okay, dad."

"We should take a break as waiting your cousins finish playing." Dad suggested me as we saw Uncle Crosshair and Aunt Queenie having fun with their kids at the sandbox.

We sat under the tree and took a fresh air. At the time, there was a red leaf landing on my nose.

I took it as dad started to speak "I remember our first time here. You were having fun, jumping on all the leaf bushies that you could find until I had no idea where were you."

I chuckled "Yeah, I remember. I scared you with I disguised as a leaf monster." He shook his head as smiled "And then, I did this." He tickled my stomach which I was surprised. "Dad." We laught together.

It was years ago, I guessed when I was six. Dad and I had so much fun together before he decided to work at out of the town. "Dad ? Why have you working so far away from me ? Aren't you miss me ?"

Dad stared at me with his concern look "Omega, of course, I miss you, everyday but you know I have to do this to get everything you want." He touched my cheek.

"I don't want anything, I just wanna you to be around me." I said.

He touched my hair "Omega, I promise I'll be more around you as I could, okay ? After all, love has no distance so when we are apart, you can always feel me here." He pointed at my heart.

I took breath and nodded at him. He rubbed my hair "How about we go home and have some hot chocolates ?" I smiled "Sounds good."

Then we were called by Uncle Crosshair that we were back home. We immediately left the park.
