66 : A Delivery of Love #35

The next stop is Wrecker's shop. When we entered the shop, we were surprised by a lot of children having fun. They played at the indoor mini playground.

There were two children playing tag on our way. Finally Wrecker showed up.

"Sorry about that, buddy. These children love playing here every Sunday."

I nodded "I see, it's okay. Speaking about children, I wanna introduce this kid I'm adopting."

Ara waved with a shy face "Hi, I'm Ara."

Wrecker smiled at her "Hello Ara, I'm Wrecker. Welcome to Wreck It Ball shop. You can play with those children."

When he offered, Ara hid behind me as stared at me with her scary face "I'm actually let her to choose any toys she likes." "Oh, look around, kid. They are great toys here."

It only took her five minutes, I mentioned she playing tea party with her loth-wolf plushie. "Here you go, buddy. You really enjoy my tea, don't you ?"

I took few plushie that she might want to have it "Ara, do you want Cloudy have more friends ? I have some options." I holded a rabbit plushie and a kowakian lizard monkey plushie.

Ara spoke to her plushie "You wanna invite new friends with us ?" Again, she used a deep voice "Can't see why not ? You both can come." I shaked the plushie to pretend they're excited.

Then Wrecker showed up "What a wonderful choice. This tea party set can have these two for free." I was surprised "Wow, thanks Wrecker." "Anytime, buddy."

Ara and I having fun of tea party at her room. "Here you go, Jodie. You've been polite." She poured some tea at bunny plushie's cup. Next, she poured a monkey plushie's cup "Don't worry, Miro. You get it too."

Then we heard the door bell "Oh, our dinner is ready. I'll be back." Ara nodded as I took the food. I ordered pizza.

As I put a box of pizza at the table, Ara sat on the seat, along with her plushie "Uh, Ara, can you move your little friend over there ? You don't wanna get him dirty." I asked her gently.

Ara nodded as she did it. Then we had our dinner but during that, she accidentally dropped her slice of pizza on her skirt. "Oh no, I made a mess." She worried.

I reassured her "It's okay, kiddo. It can be washed. After all, you have to take shower anyway." She smiled "You're right."

The next day, it was time to back to work. But since Ara hasn't to go school yet so I decided to take her to my work place for the first time.

"Alright kiddo, you ready to go to my work place ?" I asked her as I put a bowl of cereal on the table.

Ara responed "I guess so."

I sighed as smiled "Everything will be okay, Ara. As long as you stick with me. " She nodded.

After breakfast, we went to the post office. Arrived there, we entered the building. Ara looked around. A lot of delivery guys rushed to pick their packages to send.

"Alright boys, get your packages and keep going ! We have a busy schudule for a day !" The boss, Cid ordered.

Then she noticed us "Oh great, there's another child here." I shook my head "Cid, ma'am, this is Ara. Ara, this is Cid." "I didn't know you married already." She said.

"I'm not married, yet. I'm actually adopting her but she still need to adapt this city so I decided to take her with me." I explained while Ara hiding behind me.

"Welcome to the city, kid. Be careful with the strangers." Cid stared at her first then looked at me "Here's packages and send these all."

As Cid left, Ara spoke to me "She sounds unfriendly." "Don't worry, kiddo. You'll get used it. She just gave you a warning to be careful. Come on, you have a lot to see."

I took Ara to look around the city more with riding a speeder bike as delivery the packages. She seemed enjoying the view. At last delivery, we went to Crosshair's house.

"Ara, could you knock the door for me ?" I asked her as holding the packages. Ara nodded and knocked the door.

But when the door was opened, she ran away and hid behind me as screaming "Rex, get out of here ! There's a monster in that house !" I rubbed her hair "Hey, it's okay, kiddo. He's not a monster."

Then I stared at Miles "I'm so sorry about this. " Miles sighed "It's fine. I got judged all the time." Then focused back to her "Ara, that's Miles. Miles, this is Ara." She waved nervous.

"Sorry to scared you." He apologized. Then she walked toward "And I'm sorry I called you 'monster'." Miles nodded "That's fine."

"Anyways, Aren't you supposed to go to school ?" I asked.

"Oh, my mother picked me and Arrow early from school because she and my father will take us to the beach for a week." He said.

"I see, have fun there." I said. He nodded "Thank you, Mr. Rex."

As we leaving, Ara spoke with me "I never thought that I wasn't the one who made fun by."

I told her "Everyone have their own struggle, kiddo. We have to be kind and be there for each other. Come on, let's have our lunch at the mall."
