café dates

Jude entered the café but today it didn't feel like a regular visit, obviously because he had someone joining him.

He shook of his nerves simply muttering, "It's just another girl, nothing special." But he couldn't help to think the opposite, Jude didn't usually lose his cool nor did he usually yearn for someone's company like he did right now. He usually kept himself to him, the only people he ever spoke to was his teammates and his family.

Approaching the cash register, Mia looked up in surprise. She hadn't expected Jude to come at this time, she'd become accustomed to the times he'd enter the café so she'd thought it was rather peculiar that he'd stepped foot in the store at this time.

"Bellingham, what brings you here? Something wrong or does your mum want something?" She asked, she eyed the boy up. He was stood rigidly as if he was going to burst needing to pee.

He scratched the back of his neck nervously, "Don't embarrass me but I kind of invited a girl here." He let out a light cough, looking away from Mia's eyes in embarrassment.

She squealed quietly, the store was empty but she couldn't help be overcome with joy. Ever since she met Jude, she couldn't help but notice how he was quiet or how he'd never discuss any female in his life other than his mother.

She knew that he'd went out with a girl before but he'd never elaborated on why they had broken up; she didn't push him to speak about it though in case she lost the boy as a customer from a business side.

"Who on earth has you so nervous?" Mia asked, she was intrigued. She hadn't ever seen him this nervous.

He winced, "Was it that obvious I'm nervous? Uh, she was here the other day. Aaliyah." He couldn't help his heart racing, he hadn't got to known a girl since Daisy. What happened with Daisy bought up bad memories for Jude so he often tried to push that in the back of his mind.

She laughed, "She's really pretty, yeah don't be nervous. I'll get you some food, it's on the house. Don't worry." She offered to put his heart at ease.

He chuckled, "You know it's never on the house Mia. I pay always." He appreciated the nice gesture offered to him but simply didn't accept since he was knew he was capable of paying for it.

He simply made his way to their spot, as he waited for the girl who was running a little late.

The door had chimed open as Aaliyah made her way inside the store. It was quiet so Jude had instantly recognised the girl entering the store but he couldn't help but fall in love with how effortlessly pretty she looked.

She was dressed casually but she seemed to still ooze out elegance, he liked how she dressed.

"Hi Aaliyah, Jude's over there. Don't be too harsh on him." He could hear Mia saying to the girl.

She chuckled, "I'll try not to Mia."

Once their eyes had connected, it felt like it was just them in the serene building.

Shamelessly, he raked his eyes up and down taking in her beauty. That didn't stop her from doing the same to him, she was also preeing what he was wearing from his Jordan 5 Racer Blues to his joggers and the plain black tee he was wearing from the fresh trim he'd been sporting.

Jude broke the silence, "You look pretty Aaliyah." As he slipped his arm around giving her a brief hug as he inhaled her sweet cocoa butter smell, Jude did wish the hug was longer.

She blushed at the compliment, "You're gonna mess up my hair Jude."

He chuckled slightly as his heart feel warm hearing his name come from her angelic mouth, "My bad Aaliyah."

"Speaking of hair, I like your fade. How come I didn't get any pictures?" She flirted, as she stuck her hand out viewing her fresh set adjusting her ring quickly and renewing eye contact with him.

"You should've asked darling. I would've sent them with no charge." He looked at her fresh set, imagining how her fresh set would feel scratching the back of his head.

Snap out of it, he thought to himself.

Aaliyah responded although her stomach was flurrying with butterflies, "Next time I will ask. So, why'd you call me out here?"

"Just wanted to speak to you, is that a problem?" He raised his eyebrows jokingly.
