And a few more unhealthy comments. I whipped around and said to Jake, "Jake, go back to your friends. I am fine, and you. You need to back off just for a while."

As soon as I said those things my stomach did a back flip. I could see the hurt in his eyes and in his face.

"Fine, I will. You go and hang out with Hailey and Dylan." He said harshly.

I go to turn and walk away but I get maybe three feet away.

Until I hear Jake say, "Hey Chris? May I tell ya something?"

I turn around facing him and say back in an annoyed attitude, "Sure what's up?"

He takes a few steps towards me until we are less than a foot away.

"This." He said before leaning in and kissing me softly.

He Jake Hayes kissed me. I of course kiss him back and wrap my arms around his neck. I could hear some rude comments from behind me from the jocks and a few wolf whistles from them. I let go of Jake and walk to my car holding his hand away from the jocks.

"That was...... something." I start.

"Yea something, Chris I like you like really really like you. I have for a while and I want to ask if... if you wanted to go on a date with me tomorrow night?" He says very nervously.

"Sure, I would love to. Also I have liked you a while." I say leaning against my car.

LATER

I went away to making coffees, then I felt hands cover my eyes and I hear a soft breath against my neck.

"Guess who?" I hear softly in my ear.

Smiling I say, "My new boyfriend, Jake Hayes?"

I hear the voice say again, "Right."

I turn to see him smiling broadly. I cross my arms and tap my foot on the ground.

"What has you so worked up?" I say trying not to smile.

"You called me your boyfriend." He says opening his arms.

"Oh, that." I say with my cheeks flushing turning bright firehouse red.

LATER

"What has you so happy Chris?" My mother says.

"I think I am now my crushes girlfriend." I say quietly, not because I didn't want her to hear. I wanted it to sink in my head.

I run up to my room and immediately call up Hal.

"What could you possibly want NOW?" I hear her say grumpily.

"Hal come over, NOW" I basically scream.

"This must be important, see ya in 5 minutes." She says while I hear a door slam.

I sit on my bed and wait, not even 3 minutes passed until I hear a door slam and loud footsteps. Then I see Hal with her hair pulled into a bun.

"So, oh god please don't tell me you pregnant!" She says rushing over.
