Alasdair Maven Wolfe

"My name's Alasdair, y'know."

I walked through the camp, when I heard, "Wolfe!" Nate and I both replied in unison, "What's up?" though the both of us were on the other ends of the camp. I looked over, seeing Bellamy groan in frustration, before saying, "Both of you!"

I jogged over to Bellamy, the box I had before still in my arms. I asked, "What's up?" once I reached them. Nate explained, "He wants us to take off our wristbands." Just for that? I came over here, just for that? That's a bunch of bullshit.

I scowled at the boy, annoyed. I spun on my heel and walked back to where I was, starting what I had been doing before once more. I heard Bellamy yell, "Wolfe, get back here!"

My eyes narrowed and Octavia met my gaze, immediately looking away from me, fear quickly spreading across her face. I dropped the box in my hands, letting it hit the ground as I once more spun on my heel, coming face to face with Bellamy Blake.

He didn't seem to be taken aback by my expression, which I didn't mind. I snarled, "Maybe you can't seem to get this through your thick skull, but some of us are trying to get shit done. You want this barrier done, right?"

I didn't give Bellamy a chance to reply, when I said, "So, leave me the fuck alone and let me work." A light hand touched my shoulder and I whirled around, almost punching Roxi in the face. Roxi caught my wrist, "Pick the damn box up, Ali," looking at me with slight disappointment in her eyes as she let go of my wrist. I picked up the box I had dropped to the ground and walked over to the supply table.

Dropping the box on the table with a thud, I stated, "Here you go." I felt something fly towards me, and I twisted my hand behind my head, catching a hilt of a knife. I looked over my shoulder, meeting Murphy's eyes.

I suggested, "You might want to learn what aim is," as I brought the knife in my vision. I stated, "I'm going hunting. Only one person can join me if they want." Nate said, "Bellamy should join you since he's the only other one who knows how to hunt."

I looked at Bellamy and asked, "Fine by you, Blake?" Bellamy said, "I'll tolerate you." I nodded and Roxi walked into my vision.

"Be careful, Ali."

I replied, "Always am, Roxi. I'll be back later," as I walked out of the wooden barrier, Bellamy following behind me.

After we had been walking for a while, I heard Bellamy say, "Look, we got off on the wrong foot and I–" I cut him off, "You want to make up with me so you can get with my brother, right?" Bellamy spluttered, caught off guard by my interruption.

Bellamy said, "N-no. I was gonna say that we should make up so the camp will become united more easily." I snorted, "Oh, that's a bunch of bullshit." I caught sight of a footprint, and held my hand up, telling Bellamy to stop.

I crouched down, looking at the footprint, recognising it from the stories Nate has told me. I stated, "It's a deer footprint." Bellamy asked, "And how would you know? No offence, but you lived under the floors, just like my sister."

I retorted, "Check it if you want, but that's stupid. I know my tracks, Roxi and Nate taught me about them," before quietly adding, "among other things as well." Bellamy crouched down next to me, looking at the track.

He scowled, admitting, "You're right. It is a deer footprint." I stated, "Meaning there's life on Earth. Which also means–" Bellamy interrupted me, catching onto my train of thought, "We either aren't the only ones on Earth or animals adapted to the radiation."
