"You headed to the game today?" Cedric asks as he falls into stride beside me. We're headed for the common room- our shoes clacking and echoing across the stoned paths of the Hogwarts hallways. I smiled with a soft laugh and shrugged. "Yeah, probably. No one wants to be that one person who doesn't go to any of the games," I replied with a gentle smile that Cedric returned. I follow him into the warm and cozy Hufflepuff common room, and we set our bags on the shelves, waving to the classmates who were sitting in the common living area. The welcoming herbal scent of the common room made me smile.

Cedric turned to glance at me. "Well, in that case- I'll see you later then. Be sure to cheer me in," He said with a darky smile, before he turned to head up the wooden stairs for his dorm room. He was the star Quidditch player of the Hufflepuff team, so he needed to head up and get his gear before heading down to the pitch to meet with his teammates. I nodded. "Yeah, see you later," I agreed. I headed up the opposite side toward the girls' dormitories, where I entered mine.

Inside, Hannah was perched on her bed, nose in some herbology book Professor Sprout had given her for some extra credit. Hannah wasn't the most focused student- preferring nightlife and partying to studying and practicing her magic. "Are you going to the game?" I asked as the door clicked closed behind me. She nodded without ever lifting her head. "Of course I am, who wouldn't?" She practically scoffed, which made me laugh. "Are you going to watch Malfoy?" She smirks, taunting me.

"Hey! Not so loud, someone will hear you," I hush her, making her giggle a lot like a little girl. "I can't believe you're sneaking around with the renowned school bully," She says and I roll my eyes, flopping onto my bed. "He's not a bully once you get to know him, and sure- he's mean, but he gets it from his father, so it's hard to unteach that," I say and Hannah scoffs. "Really, Y/n/n? Ask Harry that," Hannah says. I sit up, looking at Hannah. "You talk to Harry? Since when?" I question, seeing her look at me through the mirror. I notice a hint of a smile on her face. My jaw drops, and I straighten- snatching the herbology book from her hands. "Hannah! Are you keeping something from me?" I ask, knowing the answer based on her facials alone.

"The chosen one?! Really?" I say as I stand up and squeal a little. "You're kiddin gme!" I gasped in complete surprise. Everyone knew that Harry had a thing for Cho in our previous year, he'd basically pined after her until she told him she was dating Cedric. I wait for Hannah to elaborate as I move to the closet and change out of my robes. I nodded along, listening to her tell me how she and Harry started talking in the first place. They'd had to partner up for Defense Against the Dark Arts class, and Harry had protected her from her Boggart, an image of her father.

I turned to look at her with a wide grin, as I wrapped my yellow and black striped scarf around my neck. "Hannah, that's adorable! Not that your father was your boggart of course, but that he protected you from it," I said gently- genuinely happy for her. She nodded with a hum, and watched as I turned to check my appearance in the mirror. I was running my hand through my hair when Hannah jumped up. "Alright come on! We can't be too late or we won't get goof seats," She urged- grabbing my arm. She pulled me with her out of the room and down the stairs. We meet up with the others in the common room.

We walk down the dorm stairs- and out of the common room, back into the hallways. They're now buzzing with life- and people who are all headed out to the quidditch pitch, regardless of which house they're in. Hannah's joking about how the Slytherins are going to lose, especially once we join some of our classmates who egg her on. On the field, I head to the tent with Hannah- where the players will be- waiting to be announced for their game. I glance around to make sure no one is watching, before I nod, and Hannah reaches to open the curtain that leads to the waiting area, waving Cedric over.

The boy jogs over to Hannah and I, a large smile on his face once he sees that we've come to watch him, and cheer him on. Cedric pulls me into a hug, and fistbumps Hannah. "Glad you guys could make it," He said, giving me a squeeze as Hannah chuckles. "Of course. We wouldn't miss. I mean, it's not like we really have anything better to do," She jokes, and I roll my eyes. "Technically, some of us could be studying for an herbology exam about now." I joked- and Cedric laughs heartily whild Hannah sticks her tongue out at me. "Glad to know you wanna be here Y/n," He comments to me jokingly as he releases the hug and waves again before turning to his teammates.
