"Yeah, I still think metal man is scary." Tony says and I shake my head. "Tony we've talked about this. Bucky is fine now, Sam and I will watch him." Steve argues but Tony raises an eyebrow. "Yeah 'cause that went so well last time old man." Tony says, rolling his eyes. "Oh just shut the fuck up already." I say, standing up from the couch and walking over to Bucky.

"He's harmless." I say reaching around to hug him. Bucky flinches away from me and I give him a concerned look. He blinks a few times and I notice the fear in his eyes. I quickly read his mind. "Fuck James, she's gonna think you're weird now. She was just giving you a hug and you really freaked out." You give him a sympathetic smile before Tony's voice cuts through your thoughts.

"Since when were you two so close?" Tony asks and I roll my eyes. "Since he saved me from Hydra dumbass." I say and Tony pinches the bridge of his nose, clearly near his breaking point. "Fine. But one wrong move and he's out. Got it?" He asks. "Yup!" Steve and I spoke at the same time. Tony groans and leaves the common area, so it was just you, Steve and Bucky.

"Thanks guys, you really didn't have to do that." Bucky says and I turn to face him. "Of course James, that's what friends are for." I say and Steve nods. "Well, I'm heading to bed for the night, see you boys in the morning." I say before reaching up and ruffling Steve's hair.

I could barely reach him so I was on my tiptoes, stretching up which caused my shirt to lift, exposing my waist. You didn't really notice but Bucky sure did. He could see the edge of a tattoo that went down the side of your ribcage. Intrigued, he began to reach for it, but Steve noticed before you did and smacked Bucky's hand away from your waist.

Bucky immediately recoiled, frightened from the sudden movement and he turned bright red as he realized what he had been about to do had Steve not stopped him. I turned around to face Bucky and smiled, though I raised an eyebrow when I saw his expression.

"You ok James?" You asked, unknowingly setting Bucky's heart racing. He loved when you called him James, he was so used to hearing Bucky that James seemed more like the nickname. "Hmm? OH yeah yeah I'm ok." He said, stumbling over his words quite a bit.

"Can I hug you now? It's ok if you don't want to. I get it- human contact and shit." I say but Bucky surprised me by opening his arms wide. I smiled and walked into him, wrapping my arms around his torso and pressing the side of my face to his chest.

"Goodnight Bucky." I say and he lets go of me. I give him a little salute which he returns and I laugh a little before turning and heading down the hallway towards my room. We all slept on the same floor, but the girls were at one end of the hall and the guys were at the other.

I walked to the end of the hall but stopped when I heard Steve's voice. "Arianna wait." He whispers and I turn around, watching him quickly stride over to me. I furrow my brows as he gets to me, standing so close he seemed to be looming over me.

"What's wrong?" I ask and Steve shakes his head. "Nothing's wrong, I just think.... Maybe- you should stay away from Bucky for a little while." He says and I raise an eyebrow. "Steve Rogers we have been friends for way too long for you to just order me around without explanation. Why on earth do I need to stay away from Bucky?" I ask and Steve runs a hand through his hair quickly.

"Please just stay away from him." "No- Steve fuck that. Tell me why." I say, now crossing my arms over my chest. He groaned in frustration and wrings his hands slightly. "I just don't know if it's safe for you to be around him alone right now, ok?" He says and my eyes widen. "What do you mean? Bucky has been nothing but sweet and kind to me."

"Did something happen?" I ask and Steve avoids making eye-contact with me. "Steve, what did Bucky do?" I ask and he sighs before continuing. "Fine, but it's uncomfortable to talk about my best friend like this."
