Steve gets back with Nancy, so you get over your feelings, finding a new, slightly weird guy standing right there.

Steve had been an idiot. Right when I actually thought we were getting somewhere, he started showing interest in Nancy again. Robin knew I had feelings for Steve, but she was also best friends with the boy. She knew he had feelings for her and couldn't help but feel trapped in the middle. Robin and I were currently headed to meet Dustin at Eddie's hiding spot, going to give him some more food supplies.

I hadn't met him yet, but I'd seen him around school and knew who he was. I figured if he was one of Dustin's close friends, I should meet him and get to know him. Robin and I headed down the path towards the little shack by the lake where we were all gonna meet him later. After stumbling through a lot of sticks and brush, the shack came into view.

"Look y/n, about Steve..." Robin starts but I shake my head.  "No talk of Harrington while we're here," I say, giving her a look. She nods, clearly relieved I didn't want to talk about him. "Eddie?" Robin calls out as we get to the open doorway, only to get no answer. "Is this where we were supposed to go?" I say to her and she nods.

"This is where he was last time. I can call Steve to ask," She says, digging in her pocket to pull out the radio when we could hear twigs snapping behind us.  I turn around slowly, scanning the woods around us. I could hear Robin's nervous breathing beside me.

"Could you be quiet?!" I say in a whispery voice, trying to find the source of the noise. "I'm sorry! I'm scared," She says a little too loud for my liking. "Boo!" We hear behind us, making us both jump. I let out a little shriek, spinning to be met with large brown eyes.

Robin slaps Eddie's arm, making him laugh. "You guys should've seen your faces!" He laughs, doubling over and mimicking what our faces must have looked like. I sigh, shaking my head but still smirking a little. "Who is this?" Eddie says, pointing to me but facing Robin. "This-" I say, pointing to myself. "...is y/n Henderson, nice to meet you, Eddie," I say, holding out my hand.

"Henderson's older sister? Nice to meet you mon cher," He says, taking my hand to shake. I shiver a little at the feel of his cold rings against my warm palm. He smiles, making me feel like he noticed, which is when I realize that he doesn't let go of my hand for a moment longer than normal, making me look up from his hand and at him again, he's staring at me, those doe eyes burning into mine.

"So um-, we brought you some supplies. I'm not sure why, but Dustin insisted we bring you these immediately instead of waiting until tonight. So uh... here," Robin says, snapping us out of whatever trance we'd been in. "Yeah, uh thanks. Tell Henderson I owe him," Eddie says and I smile. "Why do you owe my little brother, and could you pay me whatever it is instead? He's like way in debt since his binging spree at the arcade last summer," I say, smiling widely.

"For all of this. He's going to a lot of trouble to help me out. It just means a lot," Eddie admits with a sideways grin. "Ok, well uh, we're gonna go. Radio if anything happens and we'll see you again later tonight," Robin says and for the second time, I'm snapped out of a daze. "Sounds good," Eddie says, and I follow him with my eyes as he passes us to crouch back under the large shack structure, organizing his new things.

"Come on y/n let's go," Robin says quietly. I look back at her and nod, beginning to lead the way back up the hill. Once we get out of earshot, Robin smacks my arm. I glare at her, an alarmed look on my face. "What the hell was that for?" I ask and she scoffs. "What was that back there?" She says, jerking her thumb towards where we'd just left Eddie. "What do you mean?" I say, furrowing my brows.

"Um, the googly eyes. That was painful for me to watch. both of you," She says and I shake my head, laughing slightly. "You're making stuff up. I don't know what you're talking about," I say and she nods mockingly. "Oh uh-huh sure you don't, you were practically drooling!" She teases but I shake my head. "Was not!" I exclaim, making her laugh.
