Almost all of the students were sitting in the classroom, waiting for their sensei to arrive. Once he did, he came in with a tied up Naruto. Everyone simply stared as he lectured the boy, wanting to get it over with. It was only when Iruka announced that the class would have to go over the Transformation Jutsu that they started reacting. Most of the class let out a collective groan, not wanting to do it. Iruka had all of his students line themselves up at the front of the classroom. Aiko lazily waited for a couple students to go before she heard her name.
"Aiko Kitsune."
She stepped forward, wanting to go home and sleep. Forgetting that she was supposed to be laying low, and that her reputation in the class was as an average student, she performed the Transformation Jutsu without hand signs, turning into the current Hokage. A lot of the students let out a gasp as Aiko internally had an 'Oh shit-' moment. Even Iruka was surprised,
"G-good job, Aiko! When did you learn to do it without hand signs?"
"Erm... y-yesterday?"
"Good for you Aiko, that must be why you seem so tired today!"
"Yeah, that makes sense!"
"She's so cool!"
"Pretty..."
Ignoring the last comment, as usual, Aiko let out a yawn, lazily covering it with her right hand. She stepped back into the line, totally done with today's class. The real reason she was tired was because she had spent all of last afternoon doing endurance training, but accidentally overdid it. She overexerted her body and then had the audacity to only give it 2 hours of sleep.
Even though Aiko didn't mean to form a fanclub for herself, it still happened. And it made Naruto dislike her. So she was mad at her fans. Who would probably yell 'Step on me' if they were from the modern era. In any case, after her came-
"Sakura Haruno."
"Alright, Sakura here. Let's do it. Transform!"
She transformed into Iruka.
Then came Sasuke, who also transformed into Iruka.
And then... there was Naruto. Aiko perked up as soon as she heard his name called. She didn't want to miss what would happen next. It was an iconic moment. She put her hands behind her back, ready to stop time at any moment.
"Transform!"
As soon as the chakra surrounding Naruto disappeared, Aiko stopped time. She could care less about her fatigue now, all she wanted was to get in front of Naruto, use a jutsu to get a picture, and return time back to normal. Which is exactly what she did. When time began again, she didn't fight the small chuckle that left her lips because of her sensei's reaction. All the students who heard it fell to the ground, whispering things like, "My life is complete' or "My ears have been blessed.'
[ The Next Day ]
Everyone seemed a bit more on edge than normal. Aiko had used her Time Stopper Jutsu to get some extra hours of sleep, so she felt fully energized even after the grueling training she had put herself through yesterday. Once Iruka stepped into the room, everyone quieted down.
"We will now start the final exam. When your name is called, proceed to the testing room. The final test will be on... the Clone Jutsu."
Aiko forced a straight face as she remembered how much Naruto was freaking out at the moment. She had the pleasure of sitting next to him, but he scooted as far away from her as possible. A bit disappointed she couldn't comfort him, she allowed herself to slip into her daydreams.
After a while, she heard Naruto be called in. She gave him a thumbs up for good luck, but he assumed she was mocking him. He grumbled under his breath as he stopped into the testing room.
After a bit longer, Aiko was called. She walked into the room, her face completely devoid of emotion. If she didn't do this, she didn't know if she would be able to keep herself from glaring at Mizuki. Iruka was a bit put off by this, but continued anyway.
"Alright Aiko, you just need to make 3 clones to pass."
She nodded her head, showing she understood. The girl closed her eyes, making the split second decision between showing off or being average again. She chose to show off. She didn't use hand signs and 'accidentally' made 5 clones instead of 3.
"Oh, uh... sorry..?"
"...There's no need to apologize, Aiko. You pass, so come get your headband!"
[ 2 Days Later ]
Aiko was currently sitting next to Sasuke. Not by choice, but because the boy had grabbed her arm and pulled her into the seat while no one was looking. The girl could have easily avoided him or stopped herself from being pulled, but she was actually a bit curious as to why the boy did it. She looked at the Uchiha and raised a brow, silently asking him. The boy looked at her from the corner of his eye before saying, not even a word,
"Hn."
The girl let a small smirk express itself and saw a very light blush coat the boys cheeks. She prided herself on being able to figure out what the Uchiha meant with his grunts, and she knew very well what he had said to her.
"You don't annoy me. You're the only person I want to sit next to me."
She suppressed a giggle, which only darkened Sasuke's blush. What happened next was a phenomenon that continued to baffle the boy. Naruto walked into the room, and suddenly no one else in the room mattered to Aiko. She would only look at the blonde, but no one could tell why. It had honestly started to irk the ravenette since she was the only person that didn't get on his nerves, yet always had her eyes on the weakest person in class.
'What does she see in that dobe anyway? He's the lowest in the class while I'm the highest. I'm way better than he is, so why does she keep choosing him no matter what?'
Eventually, Naruto locked eyes with Aiko, since he was tired of her staring at him. He marched up to the girl and was about to start shouting when-
"Ne? What are you doing here, Naruto? This isn't for drop-outs, you can't be here unless you graduate."
The blonde's mood did a sudden 180 as he went from hostile to smug in an instant. He started bragging to Shikamaru, when the doors suddenly slammed open. It revealed a panting Ino and Sakura, who continued to argue over who got in first. Aiko had already zoned out, simply staring at her desk as she waited for what was about to happen.
Sakura looked in Naruto's direction as she let out a gasp, suddenly forgetting all about Ino. She ran straight towards Naruto, just to push him out the way. When she saw Aiko in the seat next to Sasuke, she practically growled at the girl to get up. Aiko rolled her eyes, done with the pinkette, and ignored her. That was when she suddenly remembered something, and a devious grin spread across her lips. She put her hand over her mouth as her shoulders shaked from contained laughter, confusing the students around her. She had suddenly remembered two things: One, there was a crystal ball watching all of them. Two, Naruto and Sasuke were going to kiss. When she finally calmed down, Naruto had finally come back to his senses.
He climbed up on Sasuke's desk and squatted down, looking him in the eye as their faces were mere centimeters away from each other. Both of the boys looked annoyed as the girls all looked very angry. Aiko could practically hear the boys mocking, and she was sent into another fit of contained laughter. When she looked back at the boys there was practically lightning connecting their glares. The fangirls started complaining again as Aiko was having a harder time keeping quiet. She was quite aware that the crystal ball could see her, but at the moment she couldn't care less. She calmed her breathing, waiting for the best part. She would have to thank the extra later.
Then, it happened. The scene she was waiting for. A guy accidently pushed Naruto and now he and Sasuke were liplocking. Aiko broke out into a fit of laughter, unable to contain it anymore. This broke the boys out of their trance of disgust as they immediately pulled away and started gagging. After a few more moments...
"Naruto... you are so dead..."
Aiko was able to contain most of her laughter as she now stood up from her fetal position on the floor.
"H-Hey, now... It's not Naruto's fault he and Sasuke kissed... If anything you should blame that guy."
Aiko pointed at the guy who bumped Naruto, who now looked like he was accused of commiting murder.
"H-Hey! Why don't we all just calm down..."
"GRRR! It's his fault we couldn't be Sasuke's first kiss! GET HIM!"
"AHHH! I DON'T WANT TO DIE YET-"
The Hokage was a bit surprised how Aiko was able to deflect the fangirl's rage away from Naruto. The boy was usually at the center of the chaos, so it was definitely a change of pace.
