[ 3rd Person Point of View ]

[ The Next Day ]

Aiko got up at 4 AM. The lack of sleep didn't bother her since, any other time she was tired she had been faking it. She could go days without sleep, actually. She didn't eat breakfast either, she never did as it only made her sluggish. She put her ninja tools in a small messenger bag and headed for the meet-up spot. As she walked there, she noticed she was going to be early and decided to speed up time as she walked. When she finally got there, she was only a couple minutes early. Not long after, the rest of her team came from different directions.

[ Hours Later ]

"Morning everyone. Ready for your first day?"

"Hey, you're late!" X2

Saura and Naruto were the ones to make this outburst, Sasuke stood to the side without any expression, and Aiko snapped her head up since she had fallen asleep while standing. Once she realized what was happening, she let out an inaudible groan and let her messenger bag plop to the floor with the rest of her team's stuff.

"Well, a black cat crossed my path, so I had to take the long way."

None of them bought the flimsy excuse.

"Well,"

clears throat

"Let's get started."

Kakashi placed a timer on a tree stump,

"Here we go, it's set for noon."

"Your assignment is very simple. You just have to take these bells from me. That's all there is to it. If you can't get them by noon, you go without lunch. You'll be tied to those posts and you'll watch while I eat my lunch in front of you."

Audible wailing

'So thats why...'

'He told us not to eat breakfast to make it harder on us.'

Three growling stomachs

Kakashi glanced at the brunette, seeing as she was the only one unaffected by hunger. She stared back, not backing down as she stared him in the eye. After a few moments, she shook her head slightly and stared into nothingness once more. This told Kakashi that she really hadn't eaten breakfast, since there was no reason for her to lie.

"Wait a minute, there's three of us."

Aiko, barely, visibly flinched, a bit hurt at being left out. The Jonin noted this.

"How come there's only two bells?"

Kakashi forced a laugh, keeping up his persona. He was a bit peeved that the pinkette had the audacity to forget her own teammate, even if she disliked her.

"Well, that way, at least two of you will end up tied to a post, and ultimately disqualified for failing to complete the mission. Those two go back to the Academy. Then again, all four of you could flunk out, too. You can use any weapon, including shuriken. If you're not prepared to kill me, you won't be able to take the bells."

He emphasized the four, making sure to remind the girl that her squad had four members.

Aiko simply stared at the ground, picking up on her sensei's silent scolding towards Sakura, who remained oblivious. She didn't pay attention to what happened next, only picking up when the atmosphere tensed up. She waited a bit longer before looking up, seeing that she was right next to Naruto, who was cautiously staring at his sensei. All the others were doing so as well, but she didn't care as much about them. Already knowing the true nature of the test, the girl didn't even move from her spot when Kakashi announced,
