11 - Aiko's Adventure

"Sasuke, I'm at Point B."

"Sakura, I'm at Point C."

"Aiko, I'm at- OH SHIT-"

"Aiko.. what happened? Are you alright?" Kakashi

Kakashi felt that something was wrong, but Aiko was too good at masking her presence. He had no idea where she was, which was very, very bad.

"Sensei, is something wrong? Did.. Did something happen to Aiko?" Sakura

"...I'm not sure. Keep going with the mission and keep me updated. I'll be back." Kakashi

Kakashi was already darting through the trees. He was trying his hardest to pick up even a trace of Aiko's chakra, but there was none. He was starting to get more worried, he didn't know what happened to her.

Beep

"He- static I- -right beeep -n't wo- -bou- -e." Aiko

High pitched feedback

Silence

"Aiko. You're breaking up, where are you?" Kakashi

"He- static -ello? Sensei? beep Can you hear me now?" Aiko

"Yes. Where are you, what happened?" Kakashi

"Uh, about that. I tried to say I'm fine but.. I'm kinda not fine...?" Aiko

"Aiko?! Are you okay?!? What happened!!" Naruto

"Fuck... I forgot they could hear me... UHH- Sensei! Can you come help me, like, really quick? I found, uhm, a cool rock..?" Aiko

"...No one believes that Aiko. Tell us what happened." Sasuke

"Prick... Haha- Sensei, have you found the trail I left you yet? Please say yes. I might have a heart attack if I keep talking to them-" Aiko

"I'm on my way. This better be something serious, Aiko." Kakashi

"No comment. Beep Son of a- Static" Aiko

Silence

"...You three focus on the mission. I'll be back soon." Kakashi

"...Sakura, just grab the cat." Sasuke

"Right..." Sakura

"Wait! I don't understand! WHAT DO I DO?! IS AIKO OKAY?!?" Naruto

"Meet us at the recon point, stupid Naruto." Sakura

"Ehh??" Naruto

"This should count as self defense, right...? Static Hm? FUCK!-" Aiko

[ A couple minutes later ]

"Aiko, I'm here. Now what did you-"

The Jonin stopped mid sentence so that he could process what's right in front of him.

Directly in front of him Aiko stood with a worried expression, her right hand scratching behind her neck while her left held her, now broken, earpiece. There was only one visible wound on her, and it was a bruise on her cheek, right next to her ear.

This explained why her earpiece went out.

Behind her was a group of thugs, about 20 or 30 strong looking males. They weren't shinobi strong, but they could definitely do some damage against a normal person. They were all tied up, and all looked like they took a beating.

This explained why she questioned whether this was self defense.

On the ground, away from the thugs, was a syringe. Kakashi speculated it was some type of sleeping drug, but it gave off a certain vibe. It seemed very strong, like it could knock out a full fledged ninja... It was about half empty, and none of the liquid was on the floor.

This explained why she was only half okay.

When Kakashi finally processed the scene, he took a deep breath. He walked towards Aiko until he was standing a couple feet away from her.

"Aiko, you want to explain what happened?"

"Hah... N-not really..?"

"Aiko, explain what happened."

Sigh

"Um.. I kinda got ambushed right before the mission started, so I tied up the ones that attacked me and brought them here. Then some people came to try and rescue them, so I tied them up as well. And then one that learned to hide their chakra very well attacked me while I was on the mission and brought me back here, where they had already freed everyone. They all attacked me at once, but I fought them all off. As a last resort, one of the fallen guys tried to inject me with... that, but I jumped away before he could inject all of it. Turns out it's just a very effective sleeping drug, but I used my chakra reserves to burn most of it out of my system, so I was able to beat the rest of them. I tied them up once they were done fighting me, even managed to get the ones that tried to run away. Yeah... I swear that's what happened."

"...Let's get you to a hospital, I'll get someone to deal with them."

"Hospital? Why do I need to go to the hospital?"

"To get the drug fully out of your system, and deal with the bruise."

"I can sleep off the drug and deal with the bruise at my house."

"Aiko, that's not the point. We need to make sure you're not hurt anywhere else."

"I can't afford to go to the hospital though."

"...What do you mean?"

"Never mind. Thank you for the concern, but I'll be heading out now. Bye, Kakashi-sensei!"

"Wait-"

Sigh

"She's gone..."

[ ~ Aiko's Secrets ~ ]

- She could have easily dealt with all of them, but felt like messing around a bit more.
- She allowed that one guy to kidnap her
- The only reason she let them hit her face was so that she had an excuse for the earpiece to be broken.
- She, sort of, confined the drug to one space in her body so that she can release it when she wants to go to sleep. She didn't burn out any of it.
