"Why don't you just tell him?"

"Tell him what?"

"That you like him. Duh!"

"Because I don't like him, Rory."

You and Rory had been bickering back and forth in the school hallway.

"Tell who, who likes who?" Benny asked appearing from around the corner.

"What are you talking about Weir?" you asked trying to play off the situation.

"I overheard you all talking about someone having a potential crush. I believe that someone would be you, Y/N?" Benny asked with a smirk across his face.

"No, you would be wrong about that. Now if you excuse me I have to get to English or Russell will count me tardy and I'll have detention on Friday," you said, finding a way to sneak out of the conversation.

"Yeah ok whatever, bye Y/N," Benny called out as you walked away.

"Y/N wait for me!" Rory yelled trying to catch up behind you.

Although you and Rory sat right next to each other in English, you all couldn't talk because your class had been put on silent. Working on your latest assignment you felt your phone vibrate in your lap.

Vampire Ninja<3: im sure benny wouldnt mind if you had a crush on him, in fact im pretty sure he has a crush on you

Looking up from your phone and over at your best friend, you look at him with a slight sadness in your eyes.

Vampire Ninja<3: what? Im sorry Y/N :( i didnt mean to get your hopes up :/

Vampire Ninja<3: but who knows, maybe Benny does like you

(time skip to lunch)

After grabbing something out of the vending machine, you walk over to your friends at your normal lunch table, and take a seat between Rory and Ethan, with Benny sitting across the table.

"What's up guys," you said greeting the table of friends.

"Y/N, we need your opinion. Which do you think is scarier, space or the ocean?" Ethan immediately asked.

"The ocean obviously," you replied now intrigued by the conversation.

"WHAT?" intruded Benny. "Space is obviously scarier. I mean there are aliens out there, how could you not think that space is scarier?"

"Who's to say there aren't aliens living in the ocean? Why are they only limited to space?" you questioned, deepening the conversation.

"They do have a point," budded in Rory.

You all argued the topic for the rest of lunch.

After school, you walked home alone. Going straight to your room, you threw done all your stuff, laid in bed, and played around on your phone.

*INCOMING FACETIME FROM BENNY RABBIT<3*

You accepted the call (obviously).

Benny: "'Sup"

You: "Hey"

Benny: "So, you have a crush huh?"

You: "Drop it Benny"

Benny: "Why"

Benny: "Can we not talk about it? I thought we were best friends?"

You: "We are, but that doesn't mean I have to tell you everything."

You: "You don't tell me everything about you, do you?"

Benny: "No, but-"

You: "No Benny, no buts. You're not always gonna know everything about me. This is one of those things. Accept it."

Benny: "Fine. I guess your right."

Benny: "I'm sorry for trying to invade your privacy."

You: "Thank you Benny, I forgive you."

...

Benny: "Do I at least know them?-"

You: "Goodbye Benny"

And with that, you ended the call. Why was Benny so worried about who your crush was? Is he jealous? Does he like you? These thoughts filled your head as you drifted off into a nap.
