Keira's POV:
"I don't know, it's said that sacrificing a bride every 10 or so years will keep the beast that lives deep inside the forest away from our village people, I was the bride this year. My stupid twin brother took my place and I'm terribly worried for him, unfortunately i had to take care of a certain man so now my plans to go and find him are interrupted." I say looking down as I continue to chop a few carrots sliding them into the boiling water off the wooden cutting board
I could feel his eyes on me, his pity. He stayed quiet as if he hadn't known what to say, I smiled looking back at him. "It's alright, my brother is a strong person. He'll return back to me, I know he will." I say with full confidence, because I knew how he had been, how he was. He wouldn't let this be the end of him, nick simply smiles. "Need any help cutting vegetables?" He questions, I gasp sarcastically. "Someone as spoiled as you wants to actually help cut up vegetables that you'll simply avoid eating?!" I question smiling, he laughs out.
"Well how can I not help this lovely lady in distress right in front of me!" He says smiling

Keiji's POV:"Achilles, what will happen if the forest is breached?" I question staring at Achilles as he chops wood, he pauses his mood growing dark and looks down at me. "That won't happen." He says, there was something about the way that he said those words that gave me chills, I couldn't help but worry though, if there had been so many vampires and other supernatural creatures to take over 50% of the human population what was one little forest, we were surrounded by these creatures
The fact that Achilles had spent a hundred years protecting us was amazing, all of these years we had thought we had it bad but in reality we were the safest, I hadn't been an minute outside the forest alone and I had almost been killed.
"Why haven't they tried taking this place from you?" I question not being able to help as the words come out, there were so many different questions running through my mind that I had wanted to ask him, he sighed slamming the axe into the wood so it'd stick in place, walking over to me. I gulped as he stopped looking up at me, "As I've said before there is a human kingdom, a werewolf kingdom and a vampire kingdom.
Sometimes different werewolves hadn't agreed with the previous king of the werewolf kingdom, they'd do bad things and eventually split from the pack being banished from the kingdom, they'd be sent here, the now king does the same to the wolves he doesn't want or needs, sometimes they're killed meaning there are few wolves that are being sent here anymore.
This place is no longer managed by the king though, we're rouges we have no need to do what he wants. we don't have a home to go back to. And for the vampires There's no reason to try and claim this area, it technically belongs to the rouge werewolves, they know their limits. Though If the vampires were to find out this place had humans, that'd be a different story." He says truthfully, sitting next to me
I bite my bottom lip, thinking. So if they knew of my village they'd come to claim us putting not only me and my village in danger but Achilles and the rouges, why hadn't they known about us yet though? Did Achilles take care of all of the lose ends? Keeping us safe? I smiled at the thought
