Kaitou Joker - Into the Past

Chapter 5

The day came, and finally Joker and his friends are going to time travel once again. But, a question laid in everyone's mind.

"What time should we input on the Sigma Drive?" Phoenix asked, holding the Sigma Drive. 

"If it's 1200, and Millicent is turning 26 in 4 days? No wait- it's 3 days now. So... that was pointless." Dump said, trying to compute.

"Maybe... 1210? Or 1215?" Lupin said.

"Is there anything else you got from when you stole the Revi Necklace, the Butler's Prison or the ring?" Shadow asked Joker.

"Nope. Unless the paper counts?" Joker said, emptying his pockets.

"Maybe there is something in the necklace?" Ontier said, as she carefully pulled out a box. She decided it was best to put the necklace there. She handed the box to Joker as Joker thanked her. Joker then took the necklace out of the box and sighed.

He started analyzing the necklace for clues, and turns out, there was something small engraved on the necklace.

"9-2-2-1" Joker read.

"It's impossible that it takes place at 9221. We live in 2022 for crying out loud!" Blue exclaimed.

"Maybe if we invert it?" Shadow suggested.

"Then it's 1229. That's the time we need to go to next!" Rose said smiling.

"Well, what are we waiting for?!" Dump exclaimed. "Let's go and uncover the truth of this story!" he said.

"What? Are we just going to stay here and just wait? They'd probably be somewhere else! They even might be already back!" Hachi said, well, screamed at Hyakkimaru.

"Hachi, I told you how many times, that there is nothing we can do. We don't even know how they managed to time travel! I didn't even knew time travel existed!" Hyakkimaru said, raising his voice.

"I'll be going now. Call me when Joker reappears or something. I'll be at Spade's Twin Thunder Shark if you need me." Queen said, as she grabbed her sword and walked away.

"Alright- we'll let you know, Queen." Ai said, as she looked worriedly at Hachi and Hyakkimaru.

"I know you are upset Hachi, believe me, I know. But that doesn't mean you can make irrational decisions." Hyakkimaru stated.

"So what?! Joker said really mean stuff to me- he hurt my feelings, Hyakkimaru. I can't just leave it off the hook!" Hachi screamed.

"Well you can't let revenge and hatred cloud your every move!" Hyakkimaru shouted.

"Mr. Spade... We should stop them..." Ai whispered to Spade, who was leaning against a wall.

"If we intervene... it'll get worse." Spade said.

"Why can't we go and time travel as well?" Kira asked, walking to Ai and Spade. 

"We don't even know how or who helped them time travel..." Spade said.

"Let's take this time to relax and clear our minds." Ai said, smiling slightly.

Phoenix finished imputing the right year- well, hopefully the right year. "This should do it!" He said, smiling at everyone.

"Ready everyone?" Joker asked. Everyone nodded their heads.

"Let's go!" Captain Blue said excitedly. Well, the most excited he has ever been.

Yelling was the most prominent sound the group could hear. The group looked around and were surprised and horrified at what they were seeing. Soldiers from left and right were running at each other. Attacking each other from all directions. 

"We have to get somewhere safe-" Ontier said, looking around for anywhere that would keep them all safe until they find out if what is going on.

"Oni-channnn-" Rose wailed. It was all of their first times seeing a war happen face to face. So it was... terrifiying.

"Maybe over there????" Phoenix said, pointing at a watch tower just a few feet away. Captain Blue, who was literally hugging Phoenix nodded his head frantically. "Yes, yes. There." he said. 

"Alright, everyone, let's go." Lupin said, as everyone started running to the watch tower.

"This is NOT what I expected of 1229!!!" Shadow yelled as he held Rose's wrist as they ran.

"None of us expected this!!!" Ontier shouted as she dodged an arrow that was shooting at them.

"We are almost there!" Joker told everyone as the group were getting really tired.

"Blue please- you gotta run on your own two feet!" Phoenix said, who was carrying the scared captain bridal style.

"I don't want to DIE YET!!!" Blue said as he wrapped his arms around Phoenix's neck, afraid that he might drop him.

"Well it doesn't matter now, we are here." Dump said as he leaned on the wall beside him.

"That was a horrible experience- 0.5 out of 10. Wouldn't recommend it." Lupin said as he wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"What are you kids doing here?! It's not safe!" A man said. He looked around his fifties.

"Uhhh we got lost?" Joker said.

"Who are you?" Shadow asked, eyeing the man suspiciously.

"Pardon me, but my name is Roger. I am a butler here at the castle. Right now our Queen Juliana has declared war on the kingdom that King Simon is currently ruling. Our talented magician Millicent is currently protecting our kingdom." Roger said.

Note: If I have time- I might show you all a drawing of King Simon, Queen Juliana, Millicent the Magician, Roger the Butler and the last person who made the Ith crown ^^
