EXTENDED SUMMARY Caroline Diggory's world had fallen apart in the matter of minutes.
She remembered the happiness she felt when Harry Potter and her older brother, Cedric, came back during the third task of the Triwizard Tournament. However, when she noticed something was wrong, that her older brother, her role model, her best friend, was dead, everything around her went in slow motion.
Things weren't the same. Nothing was. Caroline's parents secluded themselves, which Caroline understood, but she needed her parents. They basically left her alone and didn't speak to her unless they had to, which made Caroline feel even worse.
And then there was the prospect of Harry claiming that Voldemort was back and he was the one to kill Cedric. Caroline didn't know what to believe. Obviously, Harry wouldn't have accused something so serious unless it was true. However, she also found herself succumbing into the words of the Daily Prophet.
Caroline knew that she had to get to the bottom of this. She needed to find out what happened to Cedric, and what better way to do that than go straight to the source?
Despite never talking to Harry, Hermione Granger, or Ron Weasley before, Caroline goes to them to find out the truth. She just didn't expect to become friends with them and accept invitations to hang out, even though she could tell they were just doing that to make her feel better. And most of all, Caroline never thought she would fall for someone in the midst of her grieving, nevertheless a boy with flamingly red hair.
Let's just say that things get chaotic.
