"Yandere is a portmanteau of two Japanese words. The first is yanderu, which means "to be sick," and the second is deredere, used here for "lovestruck." A yandere is often sweet, caring, and innocent before switching into someone who displays an ext...

The door creaked open as I slowly pushed it, revealing the abandoned-looking home. Clothing was scattered everywhere, tables were flipped over, and other furniture both large and small were either broken in half or in areas where they did not belong. As I stepped inside, I could feel the warm air brushing against my skin and the horrific smell of rotten food and metal. A sense of fear, shock and worry took over, knowing that this very house belonged to my friend Jei.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing in front of me right now. Was Jei alright? What happened that caused this to occur? Many questions filled my extremely concerned and worried mind.
Creeping around the living room, I lift up the different pieces of big furniture and check to see if Jei was secretly hiding.
There was no sign of her.
Moving onto the next room, which was the kitchen, I continued to pick up furniture. I searched for Jei, called out her name just in case she needed help and was trapped in a room or underneath heavy rubble or furniture elsewhere.
No response.
Slowly walking up the staircase, I felt as if I was not alone. I had another different sense, another feeling that someone else was here that was not Jei. I kept my guard up and refused to let it go just in case there was someone else here. I was not going to allow them to sneak up on me.
"Jei!" I placed the sides of my hands on my cheeks, making my voice louder. "Jei! Are you here!? Please, answer me if you are!"
I paused and listened carefully to my surroundings for any movement or voices.
Silence.
I continued moving up the staircase.
"Jei, I swear if you're playing and joking around with me, it's not funny!" I began to tremble a little bit. "You haven't responded to my texts or calls in a month! I knew that you needed some time off by yourself because I hurt your feelings, and I'm sorry for that! You requested a week, so I gave you that time, and when you wouldn't respond after that time period, I thought that you needed more, so I waited. I respect your privacy, but a month is worrying! Please, Jei, come out!"
Once again, no answer.
I finally reached the second floor and entered a place where it split off into two separate hallways. Sighing, I decided to go to the left and check the bedrooms before heading to the right side of the upper floor, where the bathrooms and theaters were.
I entered one room at a time from both the left and right side of the second floor, but I did not find where Jei was. I grew even more frightened, worried and terrified by the minute. If she wasn't in here, then where could she have gone?
