"Hey, Dara?"
Enveloping the box with Christmas-themed wrapping paper, I turn my head to make eye contact with my friend.
"Yes, (Y/N)?"
She was doing the same thing but doing a lot worse.
"Do you think you will get what you want this year?" I asked her, now taping the wrapping paper together. Next, I would grab a ribbon and stick it on the present.
"I hope so. Last year's gifts were great, but not exactly what I wanted," Dara responded, throwing her enclosed present in the cart, "I mean, I appreciated them. I am not trying to sound whiny or anything."
I smiled and tossed the present I finished wrapping up into the cart. Before I did, however, I labeled it.
"Was that the last one?" Dara questioned, raising an eyebrow and wiping the sweat off her forehead.
"Yup!" I exclaimed happily, walking up to the cart and grabbing the handle with both hands. "Are you ready to deliver them now?"
"Let's go!" Dara swung the door open, stepping aside to let me through.
Strolling down the sidewalk, I roll the cart to the first house.
"Here we got Stirling," Dara stated, looking down at a list of people. She approached the side of the cart, stuffed the list into her jacket pocket, and reached down. She rummaged through it until she found a present labeled Stirling.
She joyfully skipped up to her front door, knocking on it several times. There was no response at first, but not too long after she did. Dara handed her the present with a kind smile.
"Why-thank you, Dara," Stirling said with much gratitude, looking up slightly to smile at me, "You too, (Y/N)! Thank you so much!"
"No problem!" I waved to her before she closed her door and retreated into her house.
We continued down the sidewalk, stopping in front of the next house.
"Alright, Newton is next," Dara clapped her hands together before searching through the cart again. She pulled out a medium-sized present, not too heavy but not too light.
"Did you get him the whole set?" I asked her, leaning the side of my body against the cart.
"I did," She answered, walking down the path up to the porch, "It took me forever to find it. Legit, I could not find it anywhere! It wasn't until I finally decided to order it online that my struggle was over."
