Things could have been different
But that doesn't mean they would have been better
All the things that would have changed
All the emotions we would have felt
Maybe they weren't right
Maybe they weren't happiness
What If we knew what would have happened if we went down a different road
And discovered the decision we made in the end was the right one all along
Our mind goes on a carrousel of "what if"
What if things could have been better
What if I did the wrong thing
But What if
where you are
is the optimal solution.
What if you made all the right choices
What if things never went wrong
What if you are right where you are supposed to be
And you've been acing life all along.
Just because things could have been different
Doesn't mean they could have been better.
