i had no idea where jack and i were.

there were mountains. not that you could really see them, it was too foggy.

jack grunted in frustration.

he stared down at his picture at the end of the gold tube.

"i thought this might happen." an airy voice said.

jack's eyes widened but quickly filled with hatred.

"they never really believed in you." pitch said. "i was just trying to show you two that. but i understand."

i frowned.

ice attacked pitch, and jack charged at him. "you don't understand anything!"

"no? i don't know what it's like to be cast out?" pitch yelled back.

jack and i attacked pitch, and he attacked back.

the ice and sand collided together, and i squinted to try to find him.

"to not be believed in? to long for a family." pitch didn't try to fight.

jack had a shadow of empathy in his eyes.
