And here it is

The Flagsmashers have called an attack on the GRC as they meet to discuss the events that have come about. Sam calls Bucky and me and we get there as quickly as we can. Sam asks that I be stationed outside the building and keep an eye outside while he took to the skies and Bucky walked inside.
As Bucky and I walk towards the building, I hear the soldiers acknowledge him, “Seargent Barnes.” That fills me with so much pride. They were proud of him and honored him, even if it was a previous life.
To our surprise, Sharon showed up. Bucky seemed less than thrilled which made me happy cause I still didn’t know how I felt about her. Remember before she kept switching sides? Yeah, I still got that vibe from her.
Sharon and Bucky entered the building and I waited outside. I heard Sam crash through the window several floors above and listened to all the new details as they came through the earpiece. Then I see Bucky starting to return, and I run inside to meet him on the stairs. As I walk up, a woman stops and says, “Mr. Barnes?” He looks at her confused and she hands him a phone, saying it’s Karli.
“Karli?”
“I know how this ends kid, I’ve done it before.”
I enter the building and meet him on the stairs.
“You don’t think I ever fought for something bigger than myself?” I can hear Bucky getting a little annoyed. Obviously whatever she is saying is starting to dig at him. “That’s all I ever tried to do. And I failed twice.” I patiently wait, listening to the one sided conversation.
“You think your cause, justifies all this death. But in the end, the nightmares won’t go away. You’re gonna remember all the ones you killed. Trust me. Don’t do this. Don’t go down this path.”
There is a pause. I can only hope maybe he's getting through to her.
“Come, you know I ain’t gonna do that.”
The phone call ends and Bucky swears.
"She was just delaying us." Bucky says.
We rush down to the parking garage and find Sharon.
“Seriously Bucky you had one job” she scolds him. He gets onto the motorcycle and without looking for permission, I jump onto the back of it, wrapping my arms around his waist.
“You worry about your guy.” He says as he reves the engine. Then we take off.
“Better hurry up Sam, that choppers about to take off.” I hear Sharon say to us in the communicator.
“Bucky!” Sam yells.
“I don’t fly man. That’s your thing.” Bucky responds as he stops long enough to change direction then keep going.

The trucks finally stop at a barricade and we see the Flasmashers break into them.
“Hang on.” Bucky yells to me. I tighten my grip on him and he slams into the barricade, launching both of us forward and ramming us into two of the soldiers.
Then in the middle of fighting those said soldier's, one of them set fire to one of the trucks. Bucky runs over and tells the people that he’s going to work to get them out. But there’s some sort of crazy lock on the door. He tries to pull it off but he’s having a hard time, even with his super strength. I run over and quickly try to cool the truck doors before they get overheated. My powers aren’t water, they’re ice. They don’t do as well. But it helps enough that Bucky finally gets the doors open and we help everybody out of the vehicle.
“Thank you, for saving us.” The last person comments, shaking Bucky’s hand. I smile as he says You’re welcome.”
Then we each find a Flag Smasher to fight. I finally notice John Walker is here, and he’s focused on Karli. The quick lack of attention I give pulls me away from Bucky and then I hear him yell as he’s thrown over the side into a pit where construction is being done. I see the guy jump down after him with a large metal pipe and start swinging. I don’t say a word and instead start working my way down the metal scaffolding towards him.
I finally reach the bottom just as Bucky hits the soldier with the metal beam that was just being used on him. I run over to him only to stop and be interrupted by a sound above me. Bucky and I both look up in shock; there’s a truck hanging over the edge. The other truck we didn’t open yet, there are still people inside. Then we see it slowly being pulled back as a Captain America shield, a different one, falls to the ground next to us. I can only assume it’s John. But then John falls down to where we are with some of the soldiers, the truck starts to fall again  But then it stops.
When I look up, I see Sam! He caught the truck and he’s working on pushing it back up with his mini robots and his wings. Bucky grabs John and pulls him up as he too look up at Sam in awe. Bucky smiles a huge smile when Sam succeeds in saving the people.
The happy moment is short lived as Karli grabs a metal spike and aims it right for Bucky. But his reflexes are on point and he turns around quickly, grabbing it out of mid air. Then Sam launches the shield and takes all of them except Karli down. Sam lands next to us and we're all ready to fight.
Then we’re surrounded by smoke. It doesn’t hurt or anything, but we now can’t see any of them. Sam says this way, and we follow the sound of his footsteps until he leads us out of the smoke. We follow the soldiers underground down corridors then Sam says they split up. John runs one way, Bucky looks at Sam and says “I got it.” and runs after John. Then I look at Sam and say, “And I got him.” Running after the two of them. I know Sam can handle himself, and it’s better to stick with these two.

“Mercy bears richer fruit than rich justice.”
“It’s a great app.” Bucky adds as he shows the Flag Smashers his phone. I stifle a grin at the brilliant idea the two of them had. Instead of searching through the maze of tunnels, we used the app to make them think we were on their side and where to meet us. They came right to us and we led them right into a trap with the police.

We return to the front of the building and stand as we watch Sam join us with Karli in his arms. It doesn’t look like she survived. Then the reporters started asking their hundreds of questions. He walks over the politicians and they begin to discuss everything. Me and Bucky hold back and decide to let Sam handle it, and it seems like he is doing just fine.
“How did it feel to be helpless? Now if you could remember what it’s like to be helpless and face a force so powerful it could erase half the planet,” Sam starts. At this reminder, I link my arm around Bucky’s and stand closer to him, “ you would know you’re about to have the exact same impact.”
Sam is doing an amazing job. Steve was always so good at his rousing speeches, and it seems it’s rubbed off on him.
“We can’t demand people to change, if we don’t meet them halfway.”
Sam continues on, demanding change from the senators. Demands them to do better. He waits for no response, but walks over to us. He nods to John and as he reaches us, I release Bucky and he starts walking with Sam.
“Sorry, I was, uh, texting so all I heard was um ‘a Black guy in stars and stripes.” They both laugh.
“Nice job, Cap.” Bucky compliments, then pats him on the shield. I feel my heart swell with pride and happiness. Sam has really stepped into this roll and really become a new symbol for that shield. I can’t help smiling as I see them reach Sharon. I join them and Sam insists that Sharon finally get to the hospital for a bullet injury. Bucky ushers her off into the car and I join as we ensure she gets to where she needs to.

Later that night when we return, Bucky tells me he has to meet someone. I believe it to be the person he met for lunch. The one who's son was killed. I understand what he is about to do, and I hold him tight. I know he will get it done, and he will do it on his own. And I will be here for the aftermath.
