Vi opens the door, running down the stairs, I follow barely even walking, my mind still on the encounter.

"Vi? Sunny?" Mylo asked as we entered.

"Where's the-" Vi started but was cut off by Powder hugging her around the waist.

"Oh, you're back!"

Powder looked up at Vi with a smile but it quickly faded. She's trying to keep it together isn't she? Oh, Vi…you know it's alright to cry sometimes.

Vi walk to the table which was covered in weapons. As she reached for Vanders gloves, Mylo grabbed her wrist.

"Hey. Those are Vander's. Slow down, what's going on?"

Vi's breathing was sporadic.

"Benzo's dead." I spoke up.

"Dead?" Claggor asked, fear evident in his eyes.

"They took Vander." Vi finally spoke.

"Who took Vander?" Mylo questioned.

"We don't know. But we need to help him." I told Mylo, silently asking for his help.

"We're going with you." Mylo said. I whispered a thank you and he shot me a "no problem" look.

"Whatever killed Benzo…was like nothing I've ever seen. It tore him apart." Her voice was breaking.

"You're not doing this alone, Vi." Claggor put an arm around her.

"He's our father too." Mylo said, as he made the same action, placing his arm on Vi's other side.

"Do you know where they took him?" Claggor asked.

"Ekko followed them." I responded.

"The old canary next to the docks." Vi finished.

"He said-" she cut herself off seeing Powder standing with a bag, ready to go.

"I need you to sit this one out, Powder."

"What?" She asked. My heart hurts for you. I'm sorry, little one.

"You're not coming." Vi said, moving closer to her.

"I'm not afraid." She retorted.

"It's too dangerous."

"But families stick together. You said it yourself!"

"I know what I said-" Powder cut her off.

"I want to fight. I can help."

"You're not ready." Vi snapped. Uh oh. Her face softened as she continued.

"You're all I have left. I can't lose you."

Vi reached for something at her side and handed it to powder.

"Here. If they come for you, take this and run. Wherever you are, light it up, and I'll find you. I promise."

They touched their foreheads together and Vi walked up the stairs grabbing my hand as she went.

Pulling me up the stairs with her, Vi left Powder alone. I'm sorry, Powder. This for you. I love you.

"Let's get Vander and get out." Vi said as we sat on the roof of the canary. She dropped down the open skylight first, then Mylo, Claggor, and lastly me. It felt odd for the entrance to be so easy.

As we snuck down the walkway, we spotted Vander tied up in a room with an open door.

"Vi?" He asked as Vi ran to hug him. "What are you doing here?"

"We're breaking you out." Vi stared at him, scanning the injuries on his face. "Mylo." She said as she stood up and walked to me.

"On it." Mylo started picking the locks on Vander's restraints.

"Need the bag?" I asked, she nodded. I handed her the bag and waited for other orders.

"How did you get in? There's guards everywhere." Vander spoke up.

"It was easy. We found an open window and…" it clicked to Vi the moment it clicked to me. It's a trap.

"Oh, God. You have to get out. Now."

"Welcome." A voice from behind us spoke. That voice. I hate it so much. Silco.

We all turned to look behind us as slow clapping ensued. A man I assumed to be silco appeared, walking down the same path we did.

"You have my congratulations. But I'm afraid this will be a very short reunion."

More people came from the shadows behind him. People we knew. Regulars at the last drop, betraying the one person they promised not to. Anger overwhelmed me at the sight.

"Have you heard the rumour?" This guy really doesn't shut up. "Vander the coward fled town with his children. And they were never seen again."

Vi tightened Vander's gloves on her wrists.

"Claggor, see if you can find another way out of here. Sunny, help him." She spoke, taking control of the situation.

"Okay."

"On it."

"You don't have to do this." Vander begged.

"Yes, I do." She said as she turned and walked towards the group of guys ready to beat the loving shit out of her.

"Vi!" He tried to stop her but she ignored him.

I watched both Vi and the tattooed-to-shit man get ready to fight. He went in first attempting to stab her but she blocked with one of the gloves. Returning an attack by punching him into the air with her other hand.

And the gang v 1 fight begins.

Mylo struggled to unlock Vander's restraints.

"Mylo." Vander started. "Take a breath. You can do this."

With this new found motivation, Mylo successfully broke Vander free of one restraint.

I found a broken part of the wall behind us and notified Claggor. He nodded at me, ensuring me I was right.

"We're gonna get you out." He said as he turned to Vander.

Claggor and I both started mining away at the wall, breaking bit by bit. This is going to work.

"Mylo, hurry." I heard Vander speak from behind me. Curious, I looked back to see Vi fighting deckard. But he looks different. He caught Vi by the throat and I almost screamed.

"Silco, let her go! This is between you and me." Vander yelled.

"You had your chance." He replied.

I forced myself to continue focusing on breaking a hole in that damn wall.

"Vi!" Vander yelled. I mined faster.

I heard Vi grunt as she closed the door.

"You did good." Vander said, I'm assuming to Vi.

Mylo broke the last of Vander's chains. Claggor and I succeeded in making a hole in the wall. We were free.

Then we weren't.

An explosion of blue sent us all flying backwards. Blue. Powder? Vi laid unconscious under the door. I couldn't breathe when I saw the state she was in. Is she dead? I asked myself, dreading the answer. Claggor hit the wall blood splattered on his goggles. Next to him landed Mylo, a pipe in his chest. I screamed at the sight. I was rammed into the wall by a giant rock. I climbed out to go to Mylo's side.

"My-my…" I cried as I touched his face.

"I'm sorry, sis." He went unconscious.

I looked up and gasped as it all went black.
