Sonnet

20 4 11

Gold crystal shards spread out, flap up and down
White underbellies, round black orbs searching
Yellow crest raised in joy, like a half crown
Seeds and nuts lay before it comes lurching
Holding the food between its claws proudly
White powered dust coats sharp black healthy beaks
Soon a crackle join in, squawking loudly
Greedily the crackle eat, till man speaks
Startled they quickly abandon their food
Taking fight their crests still raised but with fear
This coming to a conclude from their mood
They fly off through the distance, grey and white
Bodies slowly drift away out of sight
