Through the thick pink clouds of dawn, a young male gazed towards the sky as great silver domes broke through the soft patches of clouds. He gazed upon those horrible ships, so huge and monstrous that they blocked out the morning sun casting a terrible shadow upon the land. The people gathered to watch as the ships descended lower and lower towards the planet's surface. Heavy green light illuminated the ring rapping around the circular dome, pulsing like a beating heart. The people watched in fascination and morbid curiosity as those smooth giant silver domes began to slow down and eventually stopped about ten kilometers from the ground. Their engines hummed loudly like the sound of angels singing. That was the last thing those living in that small town could hear before the sky lit up a cold, dark blue color, and all lives faded into nothing but ashes. The sound of people yelling and children crying suddenly stopped all at once only to be replaced by the loud hum of the silver domes. A blue flash ripped across the pink sky bathing it in that horrible blue color, its shockwave leveling everything within 100 kilometers radius. Anyone who were fortunate enough to be near the point of contact was immediately turned to ash . And those who survived probably wished they hadn't. In about half an hour, 35% of all intelligent lives on the planet of Acet were completely obliterated. In about a day, the resistance was squashed, and all lives ended. Acet was scorched so severely that the sand turned to glass and the oceans dried up. Streets ran with thick green blood, and the planet was collectively sobbing. Throughout all that chaos, a survivor miraculously managed to slip through the cracks of the invaders' grand armada. That one seemingly insignificant ship would later turn out to be humanity's last hope.
