Pulling up to the main building, Peter and I thanked Nat and hopped out of the car. We threw our backpacks over our shoulders, and walked to the entrance of the building. Nat went to park the car in her designated space and instead of waiting for her, Peter and I moved to head inside.

Being as annoying as I am, I ran ahead to get to the door before Peter. I pulled the door open, dramatically bowing as he stepped past me, "My liege, should I take your bag?"

"Are you suggesting I cannot carry my own bag?"

"No not at all sir," I straightened by back and put my hand over my heart. "My apologies for causing offence."

Playfully, Peter stuck his nose in the air and walked towards the elevator, muttering to himself about how he must have a word with me about my improper behaviour. He pressed the button and watched as I walked over; we didn't have to wait for long before the ding announced to us that it had arrived. The doors opened and we quickly checked if Nat was there before we stepped inside: she wasn't so we went up to the main floor without her.

To fill the silence I asked, "Does anyone else know," I changed my voice to a whisper, "about the MJ thing?"

"I don't think so. Why?"

"Just curious." I shrugged. In reply, he nodded in recognition.

Once we reached the main floor we stepped out of the elevator and I went into the kitchen, Peter following behind me, for some fruit. Thor was stood in the corner getting angry at the toaster and Sam was observing whilst trying not to laugh. I looked over to him confused, he smirked at me then hid his mouth behind his drink as he pretended to take a sip.

I kept eye contact with Sam as I asked, "Hey Thor, you good?"

"No. This machine won't swallow my pop tart." He looked incredibly frustrated and I noticed that the cord wasn't plugged into the wall.

I tried to keep a straight face, "Oh no, that sucks. Are you sure you've done it right?"

"Yes yes look." Thor took it out and beckoned me over, "I put this in like this..."

"Mhm." I snaked my arm around the back and plugged it in, masking the noise with a cough.

"Then I pushed this down and-" His head moved back in amazement. "Oh."

"Are you sure you did it right the first time?" I looked up at him innocently.

He scratched his face and looked down at me as I moved towards the fruit bowl, "...Yes?"

"You don't sound so sure, man." Sam chimed in.

Watching Thor starting to doubt himself and grow increasingly confused, I picked a couple of grapes out of the bowl and popped them in my mouth one at a time. I nearly choked out of fright when Nat suddenly appeared at the door way, this tipped Sam over the edge and he nearly dropped his cup onto the counter. In retaliation, I threw a grape at him and he dodged it, nearly sending himself onto the floor - this made Peter and I laugh.

Thor was watching his pop tart like it was a dog without a tether, his jaw clenched, "Thor I don't think it's going anywhere."
