“Let’s get this party started!” I yelled.

“You get the snacks and drinks and I will get the movie.”

“We should play some Xbox too.”

“On it! Good thing I brought a bunch of games!”

I walked into the kitchen when my phone started going off.

INCOMING CALL:

Mom

What could she possibly want now.

“Hello?”

“Hey sweetie!”

“What’s up.”

“Guess what a little bird told me?!”

“What?”

“I heard that you, and Talen were holding hands up and down the boardwalk.”

“Yeah! I had fun.”

“Well, that’s good. Talen’s a nice guy.”

“I know mom we were best friends.”

“Oh yes that’s right. That was a couple years ago wasn’t it.”

“Yeah.”

“Right, I am going to allow you to date him if you like. And I forgive him for what he did 2 years ago.”

“Okay, thanks mom! That’s great.”

“Oh and by the way. We won’t be coming down at all.”

“Okay why?”

“Because of your little brother. We have to go to training with him for the summer so then he can improve.”

“Oh I see. So I guess that, that means that I don’t have to go up for those couple of days?”

“Right. So I guess we will see you at the end of the summer?”

“Yeah. Umm mom one more thing.”

“What?”

“Do you think I could transfer to down here.”

“I don’t know. I’ll think about it.”

“Okay.”

“Call once a week to check in.”

“kay. I have to go, I’m at Vanessa’s.”

“Okay sweetie talk to you soon.”

 I grabbed the popcorn out of the microwave and put all of the of snacks and drink onto a platter and walked into the living room.

“yumm. Thanks gurl!”

“Hey where did you put my bag?”

“In my room silly.”

“Psssshh! I knew that! I was just checking.”

“Right. Because you normally do that.”

“Well, I do! Starting now!”
