Chapter 31- Christmas Special Part 3

[Y/N POV]

After the fireworks ended, we excused ourselves away from the boys.

" Today is our first date, and I have two things planned for you, my lady."  Law says with a kiss on my hand

We walk with my arm around him, looking at the streets filled with the festive spirits. Families enjoying the rides, couples sipping up some hot chocolate, the little children singing carols.

We reach to a thematic cafe with tents setup on each corner.

The owner at the gate got a bit intimidated when he saw Law.

Law-San slide a small pile of notes and the owner silently ushered us at the place he claimed as the best spot of the cafe.

It's located close to the snow covered beach with direct access via a staircase. The wine coloured tent is setup with blinking fairy lights, square table and a white colored sofa ideal for the two of us to sit close to each other.

We sit next to each other and he puts his arm around me. I hide my face in between my palms.

" Are y-you okay, Y/N-ya?"

I shake my head a bit, " This is all new to me."

" Being on a date."

I nod.

"Same here. No relationships. Had two idiots forcing me to get laid." he quips

" Not surprised about that." I chuckle

" But they were right on one thing..."

He tucks some hair behind my ear and says " Let my heart take the lead and shoot my shot."

" Looks like it worked."

He smiles and we check the menu to place the order. We decided to have some hot chocolate, cheesy fries, fried chicken and two cupcakes.

A waitress brings the food and drinks for the two of us.

" It's looks good." I comment

He offers me a fry, " For you."

I eat it. It's gooey yet good. He gives me another and we eventually start feeding each other. It felt a bit childish at first but eventually I got used to it. His cheeks were blushing when I tried to feed him the chicken.

" When did realise you had feelings for me?" I ask him as I lean on his shoulders

" I had this worry over you since Rainbow Island when you decided to go back to your abuser to save Bepo's life and then at Rocky Port from the marines, going to the underworld...and also when you told me about your past..

His hand laces with mine, " I can't help but admire your strength, Y/N-Ya. Also, whenever you fainted from overusing your powers, my mind wasn't ready to leave you alone."

"Law-San.....

" All those feelings were there but I didn't even realised that I'm in love with you until now."

He gives me a peck on the lips. Before I could him back, he leaned away.

" I feel the same for you." I say while blushing
" Bepo told me everything about it."

He betrayed me....

I frown my brows, "My best friend betrayed me. Furball promised me to keep it a secret."
" The two of us are friends for a longer time so..."

I give him a pout, " Hmm, Okay."
He pokes my cheek, " Don't be so adorable now."
" The Surgeon of Death can't bear some cuteness..."

I pout a bit more and he gets flustered.

" You know, I hate cute expressions..." he adds

I give a kiss on his tanned cheeks, slide my hand into his and tilt my head over his shoulder.

" Then, I will stop smiling or acting cute."
" No..No..No.." He shakes his head rapidly
" Why not?"
" Let me protect the smile on your face."

My heart skips a beat since this more openned up side of his makes me feel more safer than before. Maybe, it's due to our mutual feelings.

" I want to show you one more thing, Y/N-ya...can we go downstairs for it?"
" Did you plan more things?"

He shrugs, " Probably.."

We walk downstairs towards the nearly empty beach. The beach is slightly covered in snow along with some frost on the rocks.

" Close your eyes." He instructs
" I hope it's not falling down on your knees and..." I joke
" Definitely Not that...just close them."

I close my eyes. I feel a chain around my collarbones.

" Merry Christmas, Y/N-Ya."

I open up my eyes and run my fingers around my neck and collarbone. It was a silver pendant with a tiny amethyst heart at the center.

" Did you like it?"
I hug him tightly, " Loved it."
He kisses once again.
" Merry Christmas, Law-San." I say when we pull back and give him a big smile

" Thank You. I'll never forget this day in my life."
" Same here, Y/N-ya."

My heart skips a beat, taking in this feeling of love. His rosy cheeks and gleaming eyes shows his relaxed happiness and now honest feeling for me. We walk back to the fair, exploring each corner and later on to the submarine.

He hugs me when I go to my room, stopping me to enter it.

" Can't let you sleep alone."
"Huh?"

He lifts me off the floor and bring me inside to his room, plonking right on his bed.

" We won't sleep alone and also you will not lie on the floor like that one time."
" Alright,Alright..Let me get changed first."
" Don't get asleep in there!"

I stick out my tongue and walk back into my room to get changed and remove off my makeup.

Atleast he didnt teleport in here as I did my stuff.

I walk into his room only to be greeted by a hug from behind, his arms around my waist and his head on top of mine. He lifts me up and plonks me on the bed.

He turns to the side and wraps his leg around mine.

" We won't have sex until you feel comfortable and you can tell me anything. Also, I will be here for you."

"I know that. I feel really safe with you."

I kiss him and hug him tightly. He touches the heart on my pendant.

" You are my heartbeat."
" Your heartbeat?"

He nods, " My heart beats for you."
" It does for your survival, not a person."

" It's just a metaphor, Heartbeat-ya."

" Okay, Law-San."

I realise one thing....I don't have a gift for him.

" I don't have your gift." I blurt out my thought
" It's okay. I received it." He says calmly

I didn't give him anything. What that could be?

" Seeing your smile. Spending time with you alone and having you as my girlfriend. This is the gift I got from you." He says with a smile

I hug him tighter and close my eyes.

I will never forget this day ever again.
