Yuna's pov
After about 5 minutes of waiting which felt like eternity, it was finally my turn to collect mine. I looked at it as soon as I collected it and saw that I got into Sapphire Academy.
I jogged over to where my friends, Priest, Kieran and Madisyn were.
"I got into Sapphire Academy," I said when I got there
"Aww, that's so nice, we don't... -have to leave each other," Madisyn said and looked at Kieran, well.. they also got into Sapphire Academy.
"Well, we aren't sure of Ryder and Baek," Priest said, then I looked back at the line to see where they've got to on the line. When I looked at Ryder, he winked at me, I gave a faint smile.
"I hope we get to go to the same school," I said and shifted my position so that I was facing the queue,"I wouldn't want this friendship to break in any way."
I then felt a weird aura.
"I feel weird about this," Priest said breaking the silence between us.
"Why?" Madisyn asked
"It just feels like one or two of us would get into another school and that would hit hard," Priest said frowning slightly, it was so true.
"Let's just hope that doesn't happen," I said, normally, I would say I can feel it, but this time I wasn't feeling any strange optimism.
Baek walked towards us and Ryder's smile dropped, no. Wait.. he knows that Kieran and Madisyn got into Sapphire Academy, that maybe.... what am I even saying. I hope that's not what happened, I knew I was pushing my faith wrongly but I still had to try hoping.
I ran towards him and snatched his slip, He got into Alexandrite Academy. I suddenly felt weak, I looked back at him, then I proceeded to hug him, when I pulled out I saw him smile a few seconds, then it dropped again.
Priest looked at me,"He didn't get in, did he?" He asked me telepathically, I looked up at him and shook my head. He sighed, walked closer to Ryder and gave him a short hug, then ruffled his hair.
"I .. I ... We'll get to meet during break, or um holidays, I guess," Ryder said with a little stutter.
"And interschool games?" Madisyn said
"Cheer up man," I heard Kieran's deep voice say.
Ryder lifted his face and said,"I guess, but leaving my best friends and going to a totally different school alone with none of you."
It's really unusual to see Ryder this sad, he's usually the cheery and the fun vibes kind of guy, I hugged him again, then I looked at the rest, then they joined the hug.
"We'll always be us," I heard Madisyn say which made me smile
"Always," I unconsciously told myself

"Aunt Lydia, I got into Sapphire Academy!" I yelled immediately I entered the house and walked up to her in the kitchen.
"Hold on, Sapphire?" She asked dropping the knife she was holding.
"Yeah,"
"Oh.. that's nice," she said and patted my head
"I know and we're leaving tomorrow," I told her
"Tomorrow? On short notice?" She asked
"That's how it normally is, I already packed and went shopping, you were aware,"
She looked up and started thinking," I don't remember," she shrugged and continued what she was doing.
"Well, I'm leaving," I said ignoring her gesture
"Where to?"
"Hang... and if any package gets here, it's mine," I said.
"Aren't you going to eat anything?" She asked.
"I'm still full," I said and quickly walked to my room.
I was still in the oversized white t-shirt, black baggy jeans and ponytail I wore to school, I yanked out my scrunchie and brushed my red-white ombre coloured hair hanging over my torso, it's natural btw, I retied my ponytail so it would be comfortable for my face cap, left the house and hopped on my dark red powerbike and rode to the forest.
"Where are you?" Baek asked me telepathically
"I'm almost there," I replied
"Well, run," Ryder said
"I'm on my bike!" I said and ignored every other thing they said.
"Finally," Baek said when I got there
I got off my bike and rolled my eyes," Where's Maddie?" I asked, Kieran and Priest shrugged.
"I'm right here," I heard and turned around to see Madisyn coming out from the back of a tree.
"Race to the river?" Baek-hyun suggested
"Sure," I and Priest said in unison. Madisyn frowned and looked at Kieran who had a plain expression.
"Not fair, you're just going to sprint off again,"
"And you're going to use Yuna's bike again," Ryder said
"Yeah," I said and shrugged
"I'll ride," Kieran said unpocketing his hands. Kieran could actually transform into a werewolf, but he got a phobia for it after an accident when he was younger.
At the count of 3, we turned into werewolves, I transformed into a red and white coated wolf and moved so fast, the trees around me were starting to blur.
After some time Baek was behind me, Ryder was in front of me by a few mètres but I wasn't catching up and we weren't far from the river so I fastened up. I felt the wind pushing me back as I ran. When we were at the river I took a big leap, I landed exactly in front of him. He was close behind me, we were getting too close and I started feeling heat from our friction. When we finally reached where we were to stop, I tried to stop but I tripped over a rock. I immediately stopped and started howling in pain
