Yuna's pov

"Remember, you can do it," were the last words of encouragement that Ashli said before letting us go to the field.

Yes.. it's the first day of the inter-games, my sport isn't until the last day, that's in three days, so I'm not really pressured now.

It was around 6 in the morning, there were already people walking about, some from the pep talk with their captains like me, or the others setting up the place for the games. Most of the ribbons were blue and grey, our school's official colour.

I just stood at some random place, my hands pocketed in my element tracksuit, I felt someone's hand on my shoulder, I then looked to fund out that it was Ashli.

"Hey," I said, turning to him.

"Hey, Yuna," he said, shifting his gaze to the field,"it's been quite a while hasn't it, how have you been doing?"

When was the last time someone asked me that...

"I'm good.." I said, unconsciously squinting my eyes a bit due to the wind.

"Your dragon?" He asked,"Inferno, right?"

"Yh, he should be fine," I said.

"When was the last time you actually checked up on him, besides training?" He asked.

How did he know..

I stood there looking at him..

"You should check up on your dragon frequently, so you can warm up to each other well, okay?" He said, "we need to talk later though."
"Now, I have some things to sort out, see you later."

I waved as I watched him, walk away....

I headed to the stables, where the dragons Inferno's size were staying.
As soon as I got there, I spotted him sleeping.

"Inferno, long time no see," I said patting his nose, I noticed that he fluttered his eyes but still continued sleeping. "Don't worry, I won't disturb you, sleep well honey."

I stroked him a little more and left him to sleep.

On getting outside, I met Kieran, who grabbed my wrist saying," We've been looking all over for you, you need to come see something."

"What's that?" I asked trying to catch up with his pace. It's such a disadvantage to have short legs, running after your tall friend who can reach kilometres in 3 steps.

When we got back to the pavilion, I saw the others, talking to one another as usual, "what am I supposed to see here?" I asked.

As we walked closer, I heard a different voice, a different but very familiar voice...

Unknown pov

"It's the D-Day!" I said in excitement, "don't worry dad, I'll make myself proud, I always do," I said, walking around restlessly.

"Have you made sure she's wearing the pendant?" My father, who was incapable enough to let himself be bound to uselessness said.

"She would, she values it more that the world," I said, taking a wild guess.

"You still have so much to learn," he said almost scolding me.

"If you doubt my capability come do it yourself, oh.. right, you can't, you let yourself get defeated now your powers are gone. Let the one who can do it, do it," I scolded back.

"I have a weird feeling about this.."

"Am I not allowed to enjoy my spotlight?"

Yuna's pov

As I approached them, Inferno came from nowhere and threw me unto his back. Giving happy vibes.

"I know you missed playing with me," I said and stroked his head, "just wait for me I need to see my friends, okay?"

He walked beside me, all the way to where they were.

The voice, I know that voice. Who is it?

As I got exactly where they were, my eyes sparked in realization...

"Ryder!!!" I screamed running to hug him.
