Yuna's pov
Ryder and Baek-hyun turned into their human form and tan towards me, Madisyn and Kieran were just pulling over.
"What's wrong?" Madisyn asked
"She tripped," Ryder replied and started stroking my fur.
"You should transform back," Baek said
"It'll hurt," I answered telepathically
"Since when did you care about that?" Baek asked, then I transformed back and fell on Ryder.
"Stay still Yuna,' Ryder said catching me, I stood on my left knee and it hurt badly.
"Shouldn't it have healed by now?" Madisyn asked
"It should, I'll give it more time," I said adjusting my position so that I was standing off my left leg.
Kieran got off my bike and said," Here, sit on your bike."
Ryder moved me to my bike and I used my right leg to lift myself up to sit on it, then I sat properly, rested my face on it and said," so what are we doing next?"
Ryder shrugged and Baek-hyun said," I don't know wait for you to heal?"
"Boring," I said," this is the last day we get to spend together before we leave and you're planning on spending it like that?"
"About that," Madisyn said stepping forward," I got a letter from Porsche Academy for fairies and they're offering me an admission."
My faint smile dropped. I was going to Sapphire Academy without my only girl-friend.
"You're not coming to Sapphire's?" I asked to confirm that I wasn't hallucinating or something.
"Well, I'm an halfling and that's like one of the only schools that train fairies, my dad, mum and I have been hoping to get an offer to this school. I finally concluded to go to Sapphire's when I didn't get any offer, now, I can go to my dream school," she said ending the explanation with a short smile, then she frowned again, "but I can turn down the offer?"
"No!" Kieran said almost yelling, but he had a sad facial expression
"It's your dream right?" I asked them, she nodded.
"You should totally go," Baekhyun beat me to say.
"As long as you're happy we are": I said
"We'll always be best friends," Ryder said making us nod. She walked up to me and motioned to hug me.
I unconsciously got off my bike , then she hugged me, when I hugged her back, I felt liquid on my shirt collar.
"Maddie, we'll always see each other from time to time, we'll miss you but you'll always have friends to keep you company," I said pulling out, then Kieran wiped a tear from her left cheek.
"You'll be fine," he said
"The sun's setting let's watch together," Baekhyun squealed from behind me pointing at the sun, I turned back and pushed my bike to rest on a tree.
"You're healed already?" Ryder asked
"I guess so," everyone sat together by the river holding my hand and Madisyn at my left.
As seconds passed realization hit me things won't be like it used to be Ryder and Madisyn would have new friends, we wouldn't be as close as we used to be. We would still have that bond but not as strong as it used to be. I could talk to Ryder through our telepathic connection but we would have to rely on chances to see Madisyn.
"Yuna," Madisyn said snapping me out of my thoughts," Beautiful, right?"
I looked at her confused and looked back at the sky to see that the sun was completely set, I missed everything..
I smiled at her and got on my feet.
"Let's play Mafia," Baek-hyun said childishly. I smiled at him and nodded, everyone stood up and took their positions
Kieran and I ended up winning so I kept teasing Baek-hyun who was getting annoyed at me.
"It's getting late, we should get going,," Kieran said brushing his silky black hair with his hands.
"That's true, we'll see tomorrow morning," I said walking towards my bike
"Bye," everyone greeted
"Mind if we hitch a ride?" Madisyn asked with Kieran behind her
"Sure," I got off my bike and Kieran sat with Madisyn behind him, "I'll go by wolf."
I transformed and sprinted all the way to my street and transformed back, after what felt like minutes, Kieran and Madisyn finally pulled up.
"Took you long enough," I said when Madisyn and Kieran hopped off the bike
"Bye," I said waving at them, I rode the bike to my house and parked it in the backyard under the shade, I locked the wheels so it wouldn't get stolen when I was gone
"I'm back aunt Lidya" I said entering the house
"Dinner?"
"Not really, thanks," I replied,"Well, Ryder is going to Alexandrite academy and Maddie's going to Porsche academy," I said and sat next to her,"Did my package get here?"
"Yeah," she said picking it up and handing it to me.
"Thanks, Good night Aunt Lidya" I said and ran to my room
I opened the box, and admired the purple mini backpack for some seconds then dropped it in my luggage bag
I scanned the room for anything that might not be provided, then my gaze landed on the red pendant Aunt Lidya gave me, she said it was from someone important, I kept it in my bag and closed it.
I laid on my bed tried to fall asleep.
