[THIRD PERSON POV]

September 4th, 2016. When we're at. 6 months after... the incident.

The big city. Where we're at. A place of dreams for many. But a place of hell for others.

This is where Tord resided. After leaving his friends to pursue his dreams as an artist, he realized something: this isn't really what he wanted. Despite being quite successful in the big city, it didn't feel right without his best friends.

He wanted to return. Have those zany adventures again. Little did he know, he already has.

Well, not quite.

Do you remember when he and his friends were cloned by Bing? One of the said clones of Tord, shortly after the real Tord's departure, had joined the Red Army, and eventually rose to power and became known as the infamous Red Leader. This clone was the one.

The one that hurt Tord's friends.

But Tord was so busy with work, that he had no idea of this whole saga. And it would stay that way for only two more hours.

[TORD'S POV]

It gets lonely here despite it being called "the big city." If I try making friends, my personal life may get invaded. I've always hated my personal life being invaded. It's beyond me how anyone can deal with that.
I feel like I've become too different. While change is only natural, I feel like I've lost touch in who I am. Less violent, more stressed.
Hell, since I'm a local celebrity now, I've had to disguise myself to avoid those creepy ass fangirls! If that's not too far, then I'm not sure what is.

Okay, enough with your identity crisis, Tord. You'll be yourself again soon. Right as I dial this number.

...

"Hello?"

"Edd! I've missed you and the others so much since I've left. I want to pay a visit, maybe move back?" I exclaim. Edd is definitely my closest friend of the three, so it was especially nice hearing from him again.

"...no."

"What? Did I hurt you that much?"

"I'm not being manipulated by you again."

Excuse me, what the flying fuck?! Manipulated?!

"What? What do you mea-"

"I know what you're trying to do. You are NOT drafting me in your army. Don't think I don't know you lead one."

Leading an army? Where the hell did THOSE accusations pop up?!

"OK Edd, what the fu-" Before I finish my sentence, I get interrupted by another familiar voice from across the room.

Jehovah's Witness.

"What's going on, Edd? Who's trying to draft you into an army?"

"Tord. He's on the phone," Edd replied.

"Wait, he's not dead?"

THEY THOUGHT I DIED?!

"Look, just because I left doesn't mean I died. Also, Edd, what the FUCK are you talking about?! I'm in the big city, like I promised all those years ago. It sucks." I said.

"Look, Commie," Tom sternly said. "I'm glad your life sucks now. You deserve it. You blew up our house, tried to kill us, killed our neighbour-"

"AND you ruined my face!!" I hear Matt yell from across the room.

"Yes, and you punched Matt in the face. He STILL won't shut up about it," Tom continues.

He STILL won't shut up about it," Tom continues

"Okay, I'm missing something here. Tom, I understand YOU accusing me of such things, but Edd and Matt too?! None of that is true!"

"Sounds like what a terrorist like you would say," Tom stated in a tone cold to the core, even for him. I then hear footsteps fade away.

"Look, as much as I want to forgive you, I can't," continued Edd, finally getting his phone back. "You've hurt us so much. Don't pretend that you haven't. Goodbye."

"Wait, I-"

The phone hangs up.

...

And I thought I went insane without them.

A/N Hello! Did you enjoy that? I really hope so.
Anyways, I'm Choccy, the author of this series. Read these notes only if you want, though.
This series was a passion project of mine since February 2022, when I first joined the Eddsworld fandom. Once I heard the clone theory, I just had this spark of inspiration. Such a simple, yet amazing, idea.
The showrunners of the official series said they'll most likely never return the character of Tord, despite the amount of untapped potential with him.
Fine. I'll do it myself.
Well, not by myself. I made a friend, Ree, while working on the series. If it weren't for them, I probably wouldn't have had enough inspiration to get this done. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
And thank YOU, everyone else, who read this. This series is going to get absolutely insane, starting with the next chapter.

Until then!
