"Spare me," I said, exhausted.

"You don't have a dollar and twelve cents?" Marcus, the ticket holder and my only friend, blandly asked me. No.

I groaned. "Marc, the train is going to leave soon, please."

I saw groups of people suddenly crowding the upper level and I panicked. I grabbed my small purse from the counter, throwing it over my head, and looked at Marc with pleading eyes.

"I swear I'll pay you back, please, Marc," I begged, bouncing up and down with my heels and glancing at the crowd dispersing slowly.

I heard a sigh and the sound of the ticket coming through the machine, making my head turn back to Marc. I repeatedly thanked him as he muttered a whatever.

I rushed through only a handful of people before practically flying through the doors of the metro I needed to be in. I found one of the slippery benches and quickly got situated before anyone sat down.

There was an ill elder on the opposite side of the train; he was hacking and sneezing abrasively and gave a few tickly coughs as well. I had to take out or bump up the volume of my headphones from time to time.

As the train stopped for the next group of people to come in, I gathered my belongings, getting prepared for the next stop. However, someone came through my side of the metro, and saw the empty space that happened to be next to me.

From the inside, I panicked, and I'm sure the man saw how nervous I was getting because I could feel the heat creeping up my neck. But, it didn't stop him from approaching me and asking if the seat was taken.

I couldn't even look him in the eye. I gave no answer. Instead, I shook my head as I scooted near the very edge of the slippery bench.

No one ever sits next to me. No one has ever sat next to me.

As soon as the train stopped, I quickly grabbed my belongings and headed out.

A/N: Chapter 2 is finally up! *squeals*

~So as you can see, Rosie comes off as a liiittle bit on the poor side. But, hey, you can't blame her-those subway tickets cost a fortune! Especially if you go every month. Rosana also comes off as the introverted side.

~Note: I might add more and edit a bit, it'll depend on the next chapter.

~If you guys appreciate this so far, vote and comment! I would love some advice for a more exciting story!

~That's Kristin Stewart as Rosie, by the way! :)

~10 reads (before next Friday) for next chapter? :)

See ya later, alligators!
