Her First Love

Kade's POV

 "I don't want to die." She whispered before her eyes went back, and she stopped moving.

"Kade. Kade look at me." Dad was kneeling next to me. I looked at him with tears in my eyes. "Pick Lilah up and put her in bed. She'll be okay." I just stared at him. "Either you do it or I will. And I don't think you want anyone to touch her right now." I nodded. I picked Lily up, she was completely limp that if I didn't hear her heart beat, I would think she was dead. I put her in bed and covered her up. "Come downstairs Kade." I shook my head.

"I don't want to leave her. What if something happens and I'm not here?" He put his hand on my shoulder.

"I promise, she'll be okay. I know what is going on." I snapped my head to him, and he was already walking out of the door. I looked at Lily one more time, kissed her head and walked downstairs. I walked into the living room where all the yelling was.

"Enough!" I yelled, shutting everyone up. I looked at Evelyn's hand that was starting to heal and I smiled. "Dad?"

"Kelly, I didn't think anything of it back then. You didn't freak out when I told you that we were vampires. Did the werewolf gene come from you or their father?" Everyone stopped and looked at momma. She looked at Dev and then at the ground.

"Their father." She whispered.

"Wait. We are werewolves?" Dev asked.

"Not fully." Dad answered. "Because your mother is human, you're a hybrid. You could've went either way but since you never shifted, you had more human DNA then werewolf. There aren't many hybrids because of that but it's not uncommon."

"I marked her last night. Did that cause this?" Evelyn and mother scoffed but everyone else had smiles.

"Congrats son. And no it wasn't that. Tell me what happened."

"Evelyn took a step towards Lily, so I stepped in front of her. Evelyn, um, grabbed my." I looked down at my crotch. "That's when Lily stepped from beside me and grabbed her hand. She was flipping out that Evelyn touched me. And you know the rest."

"What did you see?" He asked.

"Her eyes were flashing from her brown to a neon blue." I said.

"When I grabbed her hand her nails were like claws." Dev added.

"I take it the two of you had fun last night? And it was the first time since you were 15?" Evelyn let out a low growl which we all ignored. I nodded my head. "The wolves possessive nature of their mate causes them to lose control. Since she had no idea, she couldn't control herself."

"He's not her mate." Mother said.

"She won't have an actual mate because she is not a full wolf. And he is her mate, she chose him. Just like she is his beloved. She will have some wolf traits and be able to partial shift, including her canines. And before you ask, yes Dev, there is a 50-50 chance this will happen to you."

"I refuse to let my son be with an abomination like her." I bared my fangs at my mother and so did dad.

"She is not an abomination!" I yelled.

"Can Kade still change me?" We all jumped at the sound of her voice. She stood in the doorway. I looked at her and her eyes were flashing. "If I come any closer, I'll rip both of their throats out."

"How are you feeling? How much did you hear?" Dad asked.

"I heard from what caused it to now. And as for how I'm feeling. A lot. I'm not angry or mad about what I am. When I woke up, it's like all the knowledge on how to control it, what it is, and the partial shift thing was already in my head. Everything is heightened, smells, sounds and vision. And I'm trying to control myself from killing barbie over there. Can he still change me?"
