Kade dropped me off at work and texted me the address of his office. It was like a five-minute walk from the cafe. If I walked ten-minutes the opposite direction, I would be at Noah's office. I never went to his office before though. I walked into the cafe.
"Good morning Mrs. Jones." I greeted the owner, who was putting the fresh muffins in the display case.
"Good morning dear. Did you have a good weekend?"
"Yes ma'am. Though, I broke up with Noah. I just wanted to warn you in case the media goes crazy."
"There's nothing like free publicity. Also, I'm glad, I never really liked that boy anyway." She smiled at me. I went in the kitchen and pulled the next batch of muffins out. Throughout the day I told Mrs. Jones about Kade. She can't wait to meet him. The seventy-six-year old woman was more like a grandmother to me. Once Aria clocked in I was able to go on break. I got an hour break since I came in early. I made four coffees and went on my way. It was a tall building but there was a big vacant area on the first floor and the lobby wasn't finished yet. All three of them work on the top floor. When the doors opened, I walked up to a secretary desk, where a gorgeous blonde sat. She had blue eyes and from the look of her shirt, the top three undone, showing off what little cleavage she had, she is one of those types of secretaries. As long as she doesn't try anything with my Kade, we will be good. She looked up from her phone, looked me over and with her nose up, she asked.
"Can I help you?"
"Yes please, I'm here to see Kade. I mean Mr. King." She glared at me before she picked up the phone.
"Mr. King, your coffee is here." She hung up and I heard the door down the hall open. My heart picked up at the sound of his footsteps. When he came into view, he had such a big smile when he saw it was me. He looked at the cup holder in my hands.
"Ariella, page my sister and Mr. Hall, please." She batted her eyes at him, but he wasn't looking at her. He took the cup holder from me and put it on the desk. "Hello, Lily. I didn't know you came with snacks." He bent down and kissed me. I could feel Ariella's eyes boring holes in me.
"Okay Kade, let my sister go." Dev said and when I looked at Ariella, her eyes went wide and I smiled at her. I handed him and Lucy their coffees.
"Oh Lilah, you are a lifesaver." Lucy said as she drank her coffee.
"I'm going to take her around for a tour before she has to get back to work." He put his arm around my waist as we walked away.
"Behave lovebirds." We heard Dev laugh. Kade showed me were Lucy and Dev's offices are.
"And this is my office." I walked in and gasped at the wall of windows. You could see the ocean in the distance. I walked over to the window.
"Kade. The view is beautiful." He grabbed my coffee, and put it on his desk. He sat on his chair and pulled me onto his lap. "So, do I need to worry about your secretary?" I asked as I kissed him.
"Definitely not, she's tried, but she's not my type."
"Well, I'm prepared to fight, if I have to." He chuckled.
"I know you are. Come with me, I want to show you something." He patted my thigh before I got up. He took my hand and intertwined our fingers. "Ariella, hold my calls until I get back." He didn't even wait for her to answer as we walked into the elevator. "Every floor is a different department. I have a lot of employees. There really is nothing special about the floors, they all look the same." We stepped out on the first floor. "The lobby still needs done but first." We walked through a doorway." I'm looking to fill this space here with a cafe." I looked around, it was a big area.
