Chapter 4

MUNDOVERSARY

Ray/Araminta

Yuno has gotten more lenient with Ray and has let her wander outside the house by herself but still he worries. Seeing that she was happy while being out with her girls, gave him some space to be able to breathe and let him loosen the reins a bit and realizing that she wasn't meant to be locked in. It took at least a week to convince him but the week was worth it. The condition was if she can last longer than 2 hours everyday for a week during speech therapy that he would at least think about it.

"Just please be careful, and remember that you aren't Ray Mond anymore, you're Araminta Sykk. It's only been a few months since you woke up, you don't have to push yourself too much either. I know you're eager to be out but we can't risk another episode outside of these walls." Ray and Yuno recall the first time she tried to leave the house but she didn't get too far due to her body still feeling the effects of being in a coma. "Don't blow this."

"If it makes you feel better, I can have April with me or any of Radiant..." she says.

"No, I trust you. We made a deal and you went above and beyond. Your doctor said it's your fastest improvement yet so a deal is a deal. Plus April said she has therapy in the morning and I have another meeting with the boys, then one with Radiant and Chaos to finalize the decisions into what is going to happen. If things don't turn out as we would hope then we'd have to ask for someone else's help." Yuno explains to Ray and she feels bad that all of this she left to her brother and he looks exhausted and stressed.

"Also, still no luck on the investigation. We'll find the person who did this to you..." Just hearing those words come out of his mouth scared Ray. "And we need to talk about something else but we can do that tonight when you come back home and you can tell me all about your day and what you did from your adventures."

"Gotcha."

"I guess this gives you practice with how you talk and think again. Longer sentences woo!" Ray playfully punches him knowing that she's doing better.

"Alright I'll see you at dinner!" He hugs her before leaving the house, she starts heading back up to her room to wave goodbye to him from the window and plans out her day.

An outfit change, maybe a crop top and some high-waisted jeans to go with the nice weather. She looked at herself in front of the mirror to see how it looked. She sighed thinking, this makes me look like the person I shouldn't be looking like. Ray sees her tattoos, the rose on her right arm, and turns a bit to Randy's branding on her. Which to this day is still fucked up by the way, but she laughs brushing it off. She grabs her foundation and starts to cover both up, not wanting to risk getting these seen. She settled with a cropped long sleeve and some jean shorts.

She grabs the key for the Sultan since Yuno took her G-wagon for his meeting and it wouldn't make sense for her to be seen driving DAHLING when everyone knows that's Ray's car. Driving the Sultan made her miss driving the Supra and her racing days. Some say being in the city for years should know where everything is, but it's also still Ray and she still sometimes doesn't know which way to go. She knows the general basis of areas but exact locations no. And just her luck she ran out of gas, rolling her eyes to herself on how she should've checked how much gas was left rather than revving the engine or speeding through the city. She tries calling April in hopes that she was out of therapy already but she doesn't answer, with little juice the car had left, she pulled up near the sidewalk, locked the car, and started to walk.

She stumbled upon a big mansion with big wings sprayed on its walls, and how can she forget who owns it...Claire and the Angels. Ray stopped in her tracks hearing that they were just in their front yard. A familiar Audi R8 pulls up and into the mansion. For a split second Ray sees Tommy but he didn't see her, but at that exact moment, Claire did and she didn't. Ray crosses the street seeing that there is a bench on the other side and pulls out her phone feeling tired already, she texts April to call her when she's not busy anymore, knowing her brother was too busy to come get her. She sits on the bench waiting just swinging her legs as it slightly dangles.
