Ray/Araminta
If looks could kill Max and Ray would have been dead by now. She didn't know what else to do, but she knew she had to protect Max from the consequences of her decisions.
"It was you all this time. All of the investigations I had you and Radiant do was a complete waste because of your involvement." The scariest part about the quiet ones being angry is the fact that you've known that they have the capabilities, just not the extremity.
"And my boys...they were part of this too?"
"Max is just drunk, he doesn't know what he's talking about..." she starts, "...let me take him to the spare room, you can ask him all the questions you want to in the morning, he's disoriented." she begins to walk him towards the room.
"I don't want him in this house right now Ray, not after what he just said." Yuno tries to keep his cool.
"Randy was on the phone with me, I can't let him out knowing he's out there probably heading this way."
"He has a better chance of surviving Randy than me, he needs to go. Now." Yuno tries to grab him from Ray, but she pushes her brother away, pulling Max away from him and behind her.
"I am responsible for all of it, Max did nothing wrong. We will talk about this in the morning." She stands her ground, and Yuno looks between her and Max.
"Fine." He walks up the stairs and back in his room leaving Max with Ray.
She opened the spare room and made sure to have him lay on his side in case he ends up puking so he wouldn't choke. Max's phone has been buzzing with notifications, she checks to see who has been calling him and sees the 20 missed calls from his mom, Penny. After the 21st call, Penny sends him a text message.
Max, call me when you get the chance, your dad is looking for you, is everything okay? He sounds worried. She sees Penny text him. Ray walks out of the room to get him a glass of water in case he gets thirsty in the middle of the night. She sighs, seeing how defeated he looked. Things would have gone differently if she just went through with her loyalty test, but she couldn't do it. She shouldn't have asked him to do it, the after math of it all could've been avoided. It could've been anyone else, but it was her brother and that was just something she would never do.
"I'm so sorry Max, I shouldn't have asked you to do such a big thing." She put the glass on the bedside table and was about to leave when she heard him mumble.
"It was my fault Boss." he says repeatedly, and she can see a teardrop escape his closed eyelids. She closes the door, can't bear to see him cry. Ray makes her way towards the living room and lays down on the couch, staring at the ceiling, knowing that when morning comes, she has to explain herself and try to get Max out of the situation she put them all through.
Yuno
Yuno couldn't sleep...all he could see and feel was red, not knowing how to feel about the fact that his sister's assistant is the one who shot her. And the worst part of it all, is that his boys knew and no one, not a single one of them, mentioned it to him. He gets ready for the day, jumping into the shower and hoping that the cold water would cool his hot head. After he puts on his attire for the day, he calls up Randy, knowing that he too was fuming and wants to see how he was doing with the information he heard last night, and with just one ring, Randy answers.
"Yuno please tell me you heard what I heard last night and I'm not going crazy. I've been looking for him all night."
"Yes I did, I wanted to ask how you feel about it."
"Not gonna lie, I am actually pretty pissed off. Do you think he's lying?"
"No, because my sister slept in the loving room and has been protecting him since last night. I think you should come over so we can all talk about this... as civil as possible preferably."
