~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Chapter 8 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
"Aquira! Hurry up I don't want to be late on my own event!" Martin shouted from downstairs I could imagine him looking at his watch from time to time.
I rolled my eyes at his impatient attitude in front of my vanity mirror while applying the finishing touch in my make up. Puffing my curled hair I stood up and grabbed my purse just beside the table and walked out of the room.
We're now preparing on going to his photo exhibit he organized a month ago with the help of his ever-reliable bestfriend.
"Why so impatient Martin? We still got an hour before your event." I said as I took the last step of the stairs. "Aquira I think it would be nicer if the organizer would be the one to wait for his invitees and customers rather than the other way around right?" He said sardonically.
I crossed my arms on my chest and looked at him raising an eyebrow. "Why are talking to me like that? You sounded like a high schooler who doesn't want to get late in his prom." He sighed and walked towards me.
He took my hands from being crossed and put it around his waist then captured my face with his hands. He massaged my folded forehead using his thumbs as if erasing my sour expression then tugged down my arched brow gently. He also hauled my cheeks to form a fake smile on my lips.
"Babe, you, before anyone else, know that this event is much more important to me than in any kind of prom. And sorry for acting like that, okay? I'm just a bit nervous about the success of this." I looked at him and he really look like one so I embraced him tightly to lessen what he feels.
"You don't have to feel that way babe you're a great photographer. You make simple things into something mesmerizing using just the lens of your camera. Everybody who'll attend the exhibit will definitely get amazed in your way of photography. And every pieces of images will surely be sold in a snapped." I consoled.
I parted my body from him and held his face. "I believe in your talent Martin and I'm confident that this event would be a blast and you should too, since this is YOUR event. And whatever the outcome of this I can assure you something..." "And what is that?" He asked. "Is that I love you so much and it'll never change whatever comes in our life." I stated then kissed him showing how much sincere I am about what I've said.
Our kiss came to a halt when we extremely needed oxygen through our lungs. I still had my eyes shut and my forehead on his while we both gasping for some air. The moment I opened my eyes I met his gaze with so much feelings and emotions that only eyes can say.
"Do you know how lucky I am feeling right now?" He breathes.
I cocked my head to the side and pouted my lips pointing to the right while tapping my chin with my index finger as if thinking deeply for an answer.
"Ahm, I really couldn't calculate it but we can divide your lucky meter into two. Like if you sold half of your sale photos then you're only lucky but if it's a sold out then you must be very lucky then." I said innocently while at the back of my mind a playful and laughing self is to see.
He narrowed his eyes pat me but still I maintained my innocent-little-naughty-girl look. "You really know how to ruin such scene. Aren't you?" He said pulling me closer to his body trapping me in his arms.
"What are you talking about?" I gulped putting my hands on his chest so as not to be fully trapped. "You know what I'm talking about?" He said with a devilish grin playing on his face. "What..?" I stammered.
