"Good morning babe breakfast is ready." I said with a wide smile almost splitting my face into two. I waited for him to rose but he's still isn't moving. "Babeee." I chanted still smiling ear-to-ear so in case he woke up first thing he'll see is my smile. "Babeee c'mon rise and shine." Still no response.

My smile starts to fade away and I feel my eyebrow arching.

'No Aquira! Don't ruin this very special day of yours okay? It wasn't like you didn't know how a deep sleeper your boyfriend is!' I snarled to myself. I took three deep relaxing breaths and again plastered my smile.

"Babeee wake up now morning sun is waiting for you." I finally heard a response to him, his snores. 'Calm down Aqui, just calm down,"

"MARTIN!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. He finally jumped awaken. "WHERE'S THE FIRE?!" I put back my smile. "Good morning babe breakfast in bed." He's panicking expression returned to normal when he sees me standing on the bedside.

"Babe you should have wake me up in a nicer way." He groaned adjusting himself to sit. "Eat your breakfast now babe I prepared it myself." I said with a confident smile.

"You cook..?" He says gulping. I nodded enthusiastically. "But why..?" I creased an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?" "A-ah nothing really. So what did you cook for me?" He asked in reluctance. I smiled reaching the breakfast table over the bedside drawer and handing it to him.

"Ahm Aquira what is this... thing?" He asked forking the 'thing' he's pertaining. "Silly it's pancakes!" I said ridiculed. "Did you add chocolate in it?" "No! Why would I? It's not even in the given instructions at the back of the carton." I retorted. "Then why is it.... black?" "I guess it's a little overcooked because I left it to go to the bathroom to pee then when I came back I saw that it's already like that. But don't worry it tastes is all fine I guess." I explained. "Okay it's a bit different from what your pancakes taste but promise it tastes just fine." I confide raising my right hand.

He sliced a very small piece and raise it in front of his mouth but stopped when it's two inches away. He looked everywhere but the pancakes and slowly opened his mouth. I feel my mouth mimicking his, weirdly. I saw him closed his eyes before putting the slice of pancake inside his mouth abruptly.

He chewed it and slowly swallowed looking like it was very hard to it's as if it has fish bone.

"Now try this one." I said picking the toast up in front of his mouth. "Now what do you called that?" "Don't make me state the obvious babe." I said sardonically. "Ahh maybe it is a toast right?" "obviously." "Yeah a toasted toast." "I'm sorry what was that?" "Nothing."

He slowly opened his mouth and took a small bite of the toast.

"Babe you have to tear it off." I said when he's not letting go of the bread. "I'm trying babe. But your toast seems unbreakable by the teeth. Let me just slice it." I put down the toast to his plate and let him knifed it. "Oh it's harder than sewing a wood. I think I'm needing a chainsaw" "What's that?" "Nothing." He answered as he finally cut off a piece of toast.

He dipped it first to his coffee before putting it inside his mouth. His eyes were widening while chewing the toast and he's lower jaw was parting away from the upper than the usual. He was like eating a big meat when in fact it's just a small piece of toast inside his mouth. Then suddenly he choke a little so I gave him his coffee. "Are you okay?" I asked rubbing his back. "I guess. At least the coffee taste normal." He whispered but my ears still able to hear it. I looked down in my knotted fingers dismayed.
