Author's POV:
Bhumi and Vindhya stood beside Nandana, looking gorgeous in their traditional attire. Nandana sat dressed in a yellow sari, and beside her sat her cousin's daughter. Nandana's mother started the ritual, and our gang was waiting for their turn. After some time, Bhumi, Vindhya, Samhith, Atharv, and Megha stood in front of Nandana with a handful of turmeric paste in their hands. They looked at each other and smirked. Before Nandana could process anything, they smeared the paste on her face.
"What the hell, guys?" Nandana shouted at them.
But they paid deaf ears to her shouts. Atharv and Samhith silently moved and stood behind Nandana with two bronze vessels full of water. Bhumi winked at them, and both of them poured water on her, making her flinch.
"You guys are dead in my hands today," Nandana yelled, glaring at them.
She pulled Bhumi and Vindhya towards her and rubbed her cheeks on theirs, messing them up.
After the ceremony, the youngsters were practising dances for Sangeeth. Atharv looked at Bhumi, who was teaching dance steps to Nandana and her fiancé. She was a graceful dancer, and she gave many performances during their college fests and parties.
"Hello, Mr. Romeo! Till when are you going to look at her like that?" Samhith asked, encircling his hand around his shoulder.
"Tell us, when are you going to propose to her?" Vindhya asked while joining Samhith.
"Soon," Atharv said, smiling like a fool.
"Woh! Looks like the train has come on the right track," Samhith said, giving him a teasing smile.
Atharv glared at her while Samhith chuckled.
"Exactly. I'm going to propose to her on the train," said Atharv.
"What?" Vindhya and Samhith shouted together.
Nandana and Vihaan stopped their dance practice and looked at them.
"What happened?" Bhumi asked, coming towards them.
"Nothing," Atharv said, stomping on Samhith's foot.
