Author's POV:
"So, when are you planning to propose to her?" asked Samhith.
"Today!" Atharv said, grinning like an idiot.
"What?" Vindhya and Samhith shouted.
"Why are you shouting?" Atharv said, closing his ears.
"Sorry! But when will you propose to her?" asked Vindhya.
"In train. The same train where we met for the first time. She is going to her home to meet her family. I'm also going to accompany her. I have booked a first class AC ticket for all of us. So, I'll propose to her there," said Atharv.
"But the compartment where you met her was a different one, Bava," said Samhith.
"Then people around us would have looked weirdly. It's not that I care about them. But there won't be any privacy there," said Atharv. "I and my parents had already talked with her family before I came here. They are already busy with their preparations. If everything goes well, we will get engaged in a month."
"When did you plan all these things, Bava? You didn't even tell me a word," said Samhith.
"When you were busy in your own world," said Atharv.
"OMG! I'm so happy for you guys," Vindhya said, squealing.
"By the way, Vindhya. I have a doubt. You won't mind anything, right?" asked Atharv.
"Ask. When did these formalities come between us?" asked Vindhya.
"What happened to that woman?" Atharv asked her.
"Why are you so curious to know about her?" asked Samhith.
"Just like that. See, it's good that they didn't have kids, but what if they do? What would have been their position? It will hurt them for a lifetime that their mother cheated on their father and had an extramarital affair. If they had any differences, they could have sorted them out or parted ways. It wouldn't have hurt her Uncle much then," said Atharv.
"True, Atharv. After the divorce, she moved to another city with her lover. Her parents and siblings cut all ties with her. We didn't know what exactly happened, but we heard that her lover left her and cheated on her. Once, she came to meet my uncle and asked him to forgive her and accept her back into his life. But my uncle asked her not to show her face again to him and to leave the house. After that day, we never saw her or heard about her," said Vindhya.
"See, Karma bit her back. She got punished for her deeds in the same way she hurt your uncle. Make your parents understand your love. I know they will definitely be reluctant to accept your love. But don't give up," Atharv said, looking at Vindhya. He then turned towards Samhith and said, "Don't approach them if you are not sure about your relationship. Take your own time. I know they will be hurt at first, but they will eventually accept it when they understand the depth of your love. Be on her side and support her."
Samhith and Vindhya nodded their heads.
"By the way, where is my noodles?" Atharv asked, looking at Vindhya.
"She is in the room," said Vindhya.
"My packing is done. I'll go and check on her once," Atharv said, and he went from there.
Atharv peeped inside and saw Bhumi lost in her thoughts and playing with her bracelet. He went inside and stood behind her.
"Boo!" He shouted in her ears, making her startle.
She turned around and looked at Atharv, who was standing there with a stupid grin on his face.
"What the hell, Atharv. I got scared for a moment," Bhumi said, glaring at him.
"Sorry!" He said, holding his ears.
"It's okay! What brought you here?" asked Bhumi.
"Nothing! Is your packing finished?" asked Atharv.
"Yeah! What about yours?" asked Bhumi.
"I'm done with it. Vindhya is helping Samhith," said Atharv.
"Oh!" said Bhumi.
"You look gloomy. You were fine a while ago. What happened all of a sudden?" asked Atharv.
"Nothing! I was just thinking about something," Bhumi said, sighing.
"Your words can lie to me, Noodles, but your eyes are telling me something else," Atharv said, looking at her.
"I'll tell you, but I need some time," said Bhumi.
"Take your time, but don't forget that your Chubby Cheeks is always there to give snuggles to his puppy," Atharv said, cheekily, making her smile.
"You are crazy," she said, smiling.
"I know. It's you who made me crazy," said Atharv.
Bhumi rolled her eyes and said, "Whatever!"
"Shall we leave?" asked Atharv.
