Author's POV:

The next morning, Atharv, Vindhya, and Bhumi got off the train. Samhith got down in the middle at his place. They saw Vindhya's father, Govind, and Bhumi's brother, Akash, waiting for them.

"Hey, uncle! How are you?" Bhumi said, looking at Govind.

"I'm fine. Did you enjoy the wedding?" asked Govind.

"A lot. How are Amrita Aunty and Akhil?" asked Bhumi.

"They are also fine. Akhil is preparing for his medicine entrance exam," said Govind.

"Hi, uncle!" Atharv greeted, Govind.

"Hey, Atharv! It's been a long time since I met you," said Govind.

"You can meet him frequently now, Nanna," Vindhya said, giggling.

Atharv and Bhumi glared at her, while Govind and Akash chuckled, looking at them.

"Shall we go?" asked Akash.

"Yeah! Anna, take this bag," Bhumi said, giving her bag to Akash.

"Do I look like a Coolie for you?" Akash asked, glaring at her.

"Of course! Now come on. It's been so long since I met my Sri and my whisky boy," Bhumi said, dragging him.

Akash and Atharv chuckled, looking at her antics.

Vindhya hopped onto her father's scooter, while Atharv and Bhumi hopped into Akash's car. The Vindhya and Bhumi families live in the same colony. Both of their houses are separated by two houses.

"You said that you were going to meet your friend's family," Bhumi asked Atharv.

"Of course. I'm going to meet them only," Atharv said, smiling sheepishly.

Bhumi looked at him, narrowing her eyes, while Atharv smiled nervously.

"Why can't you say that you are coming to meet my family?" asked Bhumi.

"You are born smart, Noodles," Atharv said, smiling cheekily.

Bhumi rolled her eyes at him and looked out of the window. She opened the window and took a deep breath. She missed her home and her home city badly. Soon, they reached Bhumi's home. Three of them moved inside. As soon as Bhumi stepped inside, her Whisky Boy came running to her. She kneeled down, picked him up in her arms, and cuddled him. It licked Bhumi's face, making her smile.

"You can play with it later. Now, go and freshen up," said Aditi.

"Hi, Vadina! How are you and the little one?" Bhumi said, standing up with Whisky in her arms.

"We are fine," Aditi said, smiling. "Someone is eagerly waiting to see you."

"Nanna! By the way, where is he?" Bhumi asked, looking around.

"He is in the garden," said Aditi.

Bhumi ran towards the small garden that was at the back of their house. She saw her father talking with her grandfather and someone else. She went towards them and saw that it was Atharv's father, Raj Murthy. She was surprised, looking at him.

"Bhumi, go and freshen up. Breakfast is ready," Padmini said, coming towards them with a tray of cups in her hands.

She was shocked now. She didn't understand what was going on. Padmini gave coffee to Krishna, Raj, and Nageshwar.

Bhumi nodded her head and moved to the living room. She saw her brother talking with Aditi and Atharv.

She dragged Akash with her to his room and asked, "What's happening, Anna? When did Aunty and Uncle come? And why didn't you guys inform me of anything?"

"Woah! Calm down, Bhumi. Take a break. Why don't you go and ask these questions to Atharv?" said Akash.

"Anna, please," said Bhumi.

"Fine! I'll tell you, but before that, go and freshen up. And where something traditional. We are going to the temple," said Akash.

Bhumi wanted to ask her brother a lot of questions, but she remained calm. She nodded her head and moved to her room silently, taking her bags.

She locked the door and placed her bags on the table opposite her bed. She dropped a message to Nandana and Megha that she had reached home and put her phone on charge. She combed her hair and tied it into a bun. She picked up a lavender handloom saree and a black blouse from her wardrobe and placed them on the bed.
