She's running late already but a boost of caffeine is what she need right now, after being up all night reviewing for her comprehensive test in her second class.
"Lagot nanaman ako nito kay Miss Sibeles." She silently scolded herself while tapping her fingers in the table.
From not so far, A man who just finished ordering in the counter seats in the the nearby chair.
"One Iced Americano for Max!"
MAXIMILIAN's
Kakaupo ko pa lamang pero andito na agad ang order ko. Bilis naman ng service nila dito.
I stood up and went to the counter to get my order.
"Sir, receipt na lang po. Thank you!" And I presented my receipt then after checking my receipt, the crew immediately handed me the coffee but even before I could grab it, a girl shouted.
"Hoy! Mang-aagaw ng kape!" My forehead creased instantly. Is she referring to me?
Pero hindi ko na lang pinansin at kinuha ko na ang kape KO bago tuluyang naglakad papalayo at baka malate pa ako sa first subject ko.
I double checked it. Hay mali nanaman ang pangalan ko dito, it should be "Max" not "Maxx"
"Hoy!" Now the woman's voice is much louder.
"Aba at talagang—" I was sipping my coffee when suddenly someone pulled me from behind causing for the coffee to spill to whoever pulled me and I almost jolt in place when I see who it was.
I was too stunned to react but as a gentleman, I helped her with her things and I even offered my handkerchief. "Sorry, Miss." But the woman didn't even flinch.
"Bakit ka ba kasi bigla bigla na lang nanghihila? Natapon tuloy sayo yung kape ko." Then finally she faced me. Angelic beauty.
"Kape KO!" Naguluhan naman ako sa sinabi nitong babae. So, ako nga yung kanina niya pa sinisigawan but akin itong kape na to. I ordered iced americano and my name is written in the cup, wrong spelling nga lang.
MAXENE's
Finally! Ayan na din yung order ko.
Then even before I could go near the counter, may nauna na sa aking lalaki na magclaim ng kape KO.
"Hoy! Mang-aagaw ng kape!" I shouted from behind pero parang walang narinig ang mokong, dirediretso lang ito paalis.
"Hoy!" Sigaw kong muli pero ngayon mas malapit na ako kasi nasa likuran niya lamang ako.
Ah talagang matigas mukha nito. "Aba at talagang—"Hindi ko na natapos ang sinasabi ko dahil pagkahila ko sakanya ay natapon ang iniinom niya na kape sa akin.
I was too pissed to talk. Pinulot ko na lamang ang mga gamit ko na nahulog sa sahig, well, nakita ko naman na kahit papaano ay tinulungan niya ako. Gentleman naman pero naiinis pa rin ako.
"Sorry, Miss." Pero hindi ko pa din siya tinitignan kinakalma ko muna iyong sarili ko, baka hindi ko na kasi matantsa.
"Bakit ka ba kasi bigla bigla na lang nanghihila? Natapon tuloy sayo yung kape ko." And that made me faced him. Gwapo. Pero mas nangingibabaw talaga yung inis ko.
