Care and I walked to a shabby looking six story flat which resembled most of the buildings in the town. Old and worn down. We passed by a security guard post where she placed a small green toy car on the counter and nodded at the super excited security guard. A grown man excited over a toy car? Creepy!

There was a lift but we took the stairs and climbed up to the second floor. We walked down a well lit corridor and turned right at the end of it. There was only one door. Contrary to the rest of the building, the door looked brand new. She placed in a key, unlocked and let out a sigh. She opened the door and invited me in.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked past the threshold! The interior was absolutely spectacular. The apartment was painted grey with a floral design wallpaper print. The floor was covered in beautiful ivory tiles with floral patterns that matched the ceiling. There was a simple chandelier hanging in the sitting room. There was a black sofa that was almost as big as a bed and it was filled with throw pillows and stuffed animals of different sizes. There was a wall TV right above the fireplace and a candelabra right on the mantle.

"Harold? Are you alright?" Care's voice snapped me out of it and I saw her in the Kitchen.

"This place is amazing!"

"Thank you. Mango juice or peach?"

"Pineapple."

"Nice try. Mango it is!"

"Just what exactly do you think will happen to me if I ingest anything with pineapple?"

"I don't have pineapple." She said placing a jar of Mango juice and two empty glasses on a table in front of the Sofa.

"Please have a seat."

"Thank you!" I said sitting down on the very soft and comfortable sofa.

"Chicken sandwich or croissant?"

"I don't even know what that second one is! Chicken sandwich please."

Care laughed as she warmed the sandwiches.

She brought three sandwiches on a plate and placed them on the table. She poured me juice in a glass.

"Bon appétit! I'm gonna take a bath. I'll join you shortly!" She said walking towards what I assumed was her bedroom.

She peeped back out to tell me to turn on the TV and search through the Movie Catalog to see if anything caught my attention. I turned on the TV and it took a few minutes to get the hang of the complex settings. I finally landed on the Movie I liked and played it.
The room automatically dimmed as soon as the Movie started playing. I was startled.

"The Sound of Music? Seriously?"

I turned around to find Care standing behind me in a  coffee brown bathrobe with matching fluffy sandals drying her hair with a white towel.

"It's a classic!" I said pausing the Movie.

"It's bathetic!"

"Can't you say 'sappy' like ordinary people?" I asked rolling my eyes.

"It perhaps may have escaped your notice but, I'm not 'ordinary people'!"

"You don't say!"

"I'm gonna dry my hair so I may distract your attention for a couple of minutes."

"It's ok. Actually, can I help you do it? If you don't mind."

"Sure. I'll get the hair dryer."

She brought out her hair lotion, a comb and her hair dryer and sat down on the footrest.
I carefully applied the hair lotion and then proceeded to dry her hair which didn't take long because it was very short hair.
