With Care back, I returned to my place despite her insisting I stay a few extra days. It was time I went back to the real world. My real world.

I heard a knock at my door but I didn't feel like talking or seeing anyone so I ignored it.

"Open this door before I blow it off it's hinges!"

I knew that voice and even though the threat was an empty one, the intention behind it must've been important. I opened.

"You've never come here. What's the occasion?"

"Were you busy or something? I can come back later."

I rolled my eyes at the sarcastic remark. "Please come in."

"Thank you."

"May I get you something to drink?"

"Yes."

I poured a glass of juice and placed it on the table. My place was only a single room with a bed, small coffee table, study table with three chairs and a plastic wardrobe that was a bit worn out. I always kept it tidy... when my friends weren't coming by.
I had a shelf with a few books and a mini fridge.

"What brings you all this way? Is something wrong?"

"Yes. But not with me. What's going on with you baby?" Care asked joining me on my twin bed.

"Care."

"I've given you enough time. Tell me what's going on. What did your friends do?"

"What makes you think they did something wrong? Do you always have to think the worst of them?" I angrily asked.

Care cupped my face with both her hands and turned me to look at her. "The three of you are like a tripod stand. Two can't function if one is missing. If they didn't do anything wrong, which I doubt, then what did you do?"

"I- I kept secrets." I answered.

"Granted. I want to know what happened when I was away."

"Things just... got out of hand."

"Would you like to come with me somewhere?" She asked letting go of me.

"I'm busy."

She got up and kissed me on the cheek and I watched her walk out and close the door behind her.

"Where do you want us to go?" I asked running after Care on the street.

"Somewhere fun." She said.

We walked to a private part of the beach that was reserved for the VIPs where there was some activity going on. Staff were busy decorating and preparing for what appeared to be an event for a few people judging by the size of the tent.

She took us to the hotel spa for massages.

"That jerk didn't make trouble for you while I was away, did he?"

"No. I think I only ran into him once and we just passed each other."

"And he didn't say anything?"

"No. He seemed rather preoccupied." I lied and hoped she'd let it go.

After the massages, we had mani pedis and then left the beach back to the town because Care wanted to buy some clothes.
Shopping for clothes didn't last long since it was meant for me. I only picked out a floral shirt and a pair of black jeans. She also insisted on buying me these beautiful black combat boots.
