Tiegan's POV:

I gripped the arms of the chair til my knuckles turned white "Kienan?" I breathed staring unblinkingly at him

"Oh my god it is you!" he exclaimed completely astounded, as he stood up and walked over to me

I laughed breathlessly and got shakily to my feet allowing Kienan to engulf me in a hug and let the familiarity of his touch sink in then it dawned on me, and I pushed out of the hug "How are you HERE?!?" I exclaimed in shock searching his face for an answer as he stared transfixedly back at me

"It's.. A long story." He finally replied in a sheepish tone of voice rubbing the back of his neck and glancing from me to the bodyguards-- who were now eyeing him suspiciously-

"Fair enough; um.." I began, glancing over at the bodyguards myself as they whispered to each other unintelligibly "Meet me.." I paused again trying to think of somewhere we could meet up to talk without being interrupted or overheard.

"there's a small ait--"

"A what?" I questioned perplexedly, cutting him off mid-sentence

"An ait; it's basically a small island in the middle of the lake that's still accessible from the shore." He explained in semi hurried and disgruntled tone of voice

"Oh ok." I spoke softly urging him to continue

"It's out on the lake by that big oak tree with all the roots coming up from the ground over by the dining hall;" he explained "You'll know it when you see it." He added seeing the look of utter confusion on my face as I tried to process everything he just told me

After a few seconds I just nodded, and we both went back to our seats; "what was that about?" Colby muttered eyeing Kienan suspiciously

"Kienan's an old friend I'll explain later." I replied bluntly glancing at the two bodyguards as they finally came back from the reception desk.

The look Colby gave me at that moment told me without a doubt I wasn't gonna be able to talk my way out of this one; I was going to explain exactly what our conversation was about and who Kienan "really" was whether I liked it or not, there was absolutely no room for argument.

After waiting for what felt like an eternity, we were finally called back in groups of two; Ainsley and Aspen, Jake and Sam, then me and Colby. We were led back by two doctors one male and one female, which immediately made me nervous

"They're going to separate us aren't they?" I whispered apprehensively to Colby as I clung to his arm.

"Yes, but you have nothing to worry about it's just standard procedure; like a regular doctor's office, this place is nothing like the asylum I promise." He reassured me honestly, gently tucking my hair behind my ear before he kissed my cheek as we were led further down the hall.

I sighed shakily and loosened my grip on his arm slightly then cautiously glanced into one of the empty patient rooms that was open, and was surprised at what I saw;

there was high tech hospital bed against the back wall with night stands on either side topped with reading lamps, a very expensive comfy looking couch under the window that was accented by sage green satin curtains and what I could only assume was also a luxury on suite bathroom.

"You're going to be in room #14." the female doctor explained gesturing into the room while looking at me with a gentle smile. I gave a half smile and entered the room, which apart from the hospital logo engraved in the floor that I didn't notice before was identical to the other room down to every minute detail.

"Just take a seat on the bed and we'll get started; my name is Susan I'll be getting you prepped for your visit with Dr. Elizabeth." she explained formally as she wheeled over a weird little desk with a laptop on it then she sat on her stool and typed a few things in while I sat awkwardly on the edge of the hospital bed.

"Alright a few basic questions to start off what's your full name and date of birth?" Susan asked without even taking her eyes off the computer

"Ti-- er Alouisa Rose Threadson, but my friends call me Tiegan; my birthday is July 22nd, 2001." I stated nonchalantly

she nodded and typed away as I spoke but then stopped abruptly stared wide eyed at her screen then glanced at me gave a weak half smile before saying: "Excuse me for just a moment, I need to double check something." she stated nervously before leaving quickly

As I watched the door close behind her a wave of confusion and anxiety washed over me 'What did she need to double check? What did she see that freaked her out??' I thought in a panic; I sat in unnerving silence for about 30 minutes before Sitara's voice popped into my head

'If you're that worried about it then go look at the monitor for fuck's sake!' she snapped, frustratedly nibbling on her tail

'I can't do that! What if she comes back while I'm looking?!?' I thought back Sitara huffed in annoyance and stretched into the downward dog position then back up yawning slightly as she did

'Ok suit yourself.' She replied in a bored knowing tone while scratching the back of her left ear

'You know something don't you?' I asked skeptically

'Why don't you look and find out?' she countered smugly

'No way I don't wanna get in any more trouble than I possibly already am!' I stated defiantly

'You do remember I can just take control and make you look.' she explained snidely

'Oh, alright! I'll look; just please don't do that again.' I pleaded shivering in disgust at the mere thought of that happening again as I got up from the bed and cautiously made my way over to the laptop. I don't know what I was expecting to see but it defiantly wasn't--....

"Oh my god it's my asylum file!"
