Sitara's POV:

Ignoring everyone's pleads for me to "come back" I continued after the invisible trail the scent had seemingly left for me to follow; bounding through the forest, the under brush grazing past my paws as I ran. I leapt lightly over a log laying in the middle of the path then slowed my pace and carefully glanced around when the small dirt trail faded into a clearing; a large grassy field blanketed under dandelions an old gnarled oak near the edge of the clearing on the other side was cascading shade around a large dry patch of ground beneath it which I was thankful for as it had begun to rain again.

"Next time..." Sam panted hunching over to catch his breath "..Wait- for; us." he exclaimed still somewhat out of breath

"Yea or ya know; maaybe just TELL US where you wanna go and we'll follow you." Colby added in a snarkish tone, I huffed irritably and sniffed the air in anticipation but the rain had now shrouded the scent

"Enough bickering can we please get out of the fucking rain?! I'm freezing!" Aspen snapped muttering "I still don't know how to cast a repelling charm.."

"We can huddle under that tree til the rain let's up again." Sam responded finally catching his breath

We all followed him towards the tree Ainsley levitated some nearby dry branches that had fallen from the surrounding trees into a pile under the oak and Jake lit it almost immediately while we all huddled closely together trying to keep as warm as possible while we waited for the storm to pass.

[Later that evening]

When the rain had finally dissipated yet again we sat around the now extinguishing fire, watching the sun set and wondering what to do next.

"We could--... No; no never mind.." Ainsley began almost immediately trailing off

"What if we just camped out here til the treaty was sorted out then head back to Chantrea territory?" Jake questioned aloud

"Can't the guards are probably already tracking us by now and even if they weren't and we did stay here there's no way to keep tabs on the pack from this distance." Colby replied

'Plus Tiegan's brothers are still in Hellingly.... Probably being intaregated about where we went' I thought using mindlink to communicate

"And that." Sam stated aloud gesturing at nothing in particular

"What?" Ainsley and Aspen asked at almost the exact same time

"Tiegan's brothers are still in Hellingly, we can't just leave 'em." Jake responded

The breeze picked up again more rapidly than before causing the small flames of fire that were left to go out completely the only light left now coming from the red coals and small sliver of sunlight still peeking through the trees which were rustling wildly in the wind; that scent whipping past my nose for the 4th time since we had ran into the woods.

I stood up quickly and continued to sniff the air  hurriedly determined to find the source of that familiar smell, without realizing it I had started to run in the direction the scent was coming from my mind once again becoming clouded by one single thought 'I have to follow that scent!'

I didn't hear any of them running after me but at this point I didn't care. I don't know how long I had been running for but the scent was getting stronger now, and yet I still couldn't piece together why it was so familiar as I looked around I immediately stopped dead in my tracks; 'I know this area!' I thought in shock glancing in every direction unaware of the rapidly approaching footsteps behind me.

'This is Tiegan's old pack territory! We're in Lacuna territory!!' I thought excitedly using mindlink to communicate with the others as I spun around to face them immediately being tackled and pinned to the ground by Axel
