A year Later

"HAPPY ONE YEAR BABY WAKE UP" Hunter yells wail coming in to my room

" Happy one year babe and who let you in my room" i ask

" your mom she said you were still sleeping so i asked if i could wake you up" he says laughing

" Why would you wake me up though" i say laughing

he sits down next to me on the bed" because i love you and cant wait to give you your gift" he says smiling wail going in to his pocket

i sit up in bed and kiss him on the cheek " how about this let me get a shower and get dressed and you meet me down stairs so my mom can see the gift to" i say smiling

" Ok baby make it fast ill be down stairs" he says

" i will" i say wail walking in to the bathroom

i walk down stairs to hunter my mom and his mom laughing and smiling

" hey baby" he says when i sit next to him

" hey babe" i say smiling

" give her the gift" my mom and his mom say

he goes in to his pocket and pulls out a tiny box about the size for a ring i look at him and smile he opens the box

" Lexi will you take this promise ring and promise me that no matter what happens we will stay together i know i been alot since my parents and i know you been going through alot since your dad died bu ti want to know you will be there and i have one to so you know ill be there" he says smiling

i look at him with tears and says "i promise i will be"

its only been a month since my dad passed so it still kills me not waking up to him getting ready to leave for work when i am leaving for school and its weird not having him to joke with after school or when i get home from hanging out with hunter. i start to tear up when i think of all the memories with my dad and how him and hunter got along and thats all i ever wanted and how they will just go hang for a few now all i have for a man in my life is hunter my godfather and uncle but i wish i still had my dad

" baby i know you miss him still but he did give me somthing to give you on our one year wail he was in the coma before he past" he said

hunter pulls somthing out of his other jacket pocket

"here read the note then open it" he says handing me the gift

I look at the note is says " dear Lexi im sorry i cant be there to see you graduate or to give you away at you wedding but i already told hunter if he wants to have you for ever he has my blessing and he can im sorry i left you so early but i am watching over you and im glad you have hunter in you life and that i got to meet him and get to know him and im also glad i got to see you grow up to be the young lady you are today please remember i might not be there in person but i will be there in your heart to see you graduate and get married I love you my baby princess" i start to cry wail oping the gift when i look at it i smile he got me a stuffed bear that says i love you in his voice when i hug it and a locket with a pic of him on one side on the outside says my king and the other my prince and when you open on the inside behind the my king is pic of my dad and on the prince side is a pic of hunter

" do you like it baby i helped him pic it out" Hunter says

I hug him with tears in my eyes " I love it and im glad that i have this"

" im glad" he says wail hugging me

" so what are you guys doing today" his mom ask

" how about we all go to Devil's Hopyard" we both say

" ok that works lets head out now so i can get some pics wail we are there" my mom says

" Me and Lexi will take my car so we can talk" hunter says

"ok and ill drive us" my mom says

We get to Devil's Hopyard and the first thing i do is run to the waterfall that they have there and hunter comes up behind me and hug me then i sit he then sits behind me hugs me puts his arms around me then puts his head on my shoulder and i look at him we smile and my mom took a pic of us.

"I love you baby girl" Hunter says

"I love you to babe" i say back

he gets up and walks and when we are away from the waterfall and on the path again i run and jump on to his back he puts his arms around my legs so i do not fall then i put my head down on his shoulder and smile

we get back to his house and we are just laying in his bed cuddling and he kisses me on the forehead and says he loves me then he grabs his Xbox controller and puts Netflix on and we fall asleep in each other arms
