Eret finally sat down on their couch, sighing heavily as exhaustion finally caught up to them. Niki sat nearby, both of them watching Apis's slow but even breathing as he lay motionless on the cot.

Now Eret finally had the time to sort through their own thoughts, seeing as they'd been much too stressed over Tubbo's state of health beforehand to ask any questions that weren't of necessity.

Eret knew who Apis was the moment Theseus stood at their door, the bee hybrid barely awake in his arms.

They almost completely froze in horror as all of their previous suspicions were confirmed.

Eret had been suspicious of Tubbo being a vigilante for a while, him and Ranboo were the worst liars they've ever met. And that was saying something, seeing as they knew Techno.

But nonetheless, they welcomed in their injured friend and the odd little hero who decided to save a vigilante instead of bringing the kid into the nearest prison.

It was odd, especially since Eret knew that Theseus and Apis were supposedly enemies. The news had covered a few of their fights, neither of them winning in the end, seeing as Apis would always run off and vanish before Theseus could catch up.

Sadly, Eret didn't have the time to ask any questions, content with the promise of Theseus keeping his lips shut before tending to Tubbo.

Primes.

It was bad.

Tubbo lost a lot of blood, it wasn't enough to kill him per se, but it was definitely threatening. If Theseus hadn't cauterized the wounds, Eret wasn't sure if Tubbo would've survived completely. It would've been worse at least. They're extremely thankful for having Niki around, she worked in a small underground type clinic. Specially made for vigilantes, heroes, the people who couldn't get caught by authorities.

The program did blood banks and had donors, using the blood they received to help the people hiding from the law. It was a pretty cool program. (They had their standards though. They did complete background checks and as long as you weren't involved in some really really nasty shit, they would help you out. If not, they'd send you out the doors, sometimes with the cops on their way).

Eret was completely drained though, their powers diminished and exhausted from such a heavy use. Hopefully, none of their other vigilante friends got too hurt tonight, they didn't know if they had the energy to heal a single papercut at this point.

"Get some rest, Eret, you're probably exhausted." Niki spoke in their mind, her voice just as soothing as it's always been.

Eret didn't have to open their eyes to know that she was looking at them, they could practically feel her concern from where they sat.

Eret shook their head, eyes still shut as they relaxed into the couch cushions. "Can't, I need to be here when T- Apis wakes up."

"You know who he is, don't you? Underneath that mask I mean."

Eret nods, confirming Niki's suspicions.

"He's going to-"

Niki's words were interrupted by a sudden scream as Apis sprang upwards from his cot.

Tubbo couldn't breathe.

Every thought in his brain consisted of Ranboo, Theseus, save Ranboo, Run, Help, get Help, run away, Ranboo. Words that swirled in the inky darkness of unconsciousness until he finally awoke, horrific echoing screams that could've only belonged to Ranboo ringing through his head.
