Tubbo went to work the next morning, perfectly unrested and practically falling asleep on his feet. He basically dragged himself into the building, wearing one of his heaviest sweaters to hide and weigh down his wings today. He couldn't wrap them correctly without Ranboo there, and to be perfectly honest, he wasn't really in the correct headspace to try and wrap them effectively himself.
He was lucky that he remembered to pin down his antennae before waltzing out of his apartment building.
Tubbo suppressed a yawn as he waved at Rose before stumbling his way into the elevator, clicking the correct button, he flashed his ID and waited for his floor, surprisingly alone in his trip upwards.
The elevator doors opened into the familiar apartment, which was currently alive with a screaming match.
Tubbo stepped inside cautiously, double checking to make sure he had the right floor.
"You let him go!" Wilbur screamed, hands waving about as he expressed his frustration towards Tommy, who was currently huddled in the corner of the couch, his face completely red with shame and anger. "Tommy! This is so fucking bad! You could be put in prison for this shit!"
"Okay Wil-" Phil interjected, rushing over and stepping between his sons, sheltering their sights from one another, "calm down, Tommy wouldn't get arrested for it. You're going to scare him."
"Good!" Wilbur protested, shooting a glare over Phil's shoulder towards the cowering blond on the couch, "maybe then he'd learn that he can't just let potential villains go!"
"Apis is not a goddamn villain, Wilbur!" Tommy suddenly burst to life, his fists clenched in anger, "maybe if you'd fucking listen to me for once in your goddamn life you'd understand that!"
"Why in the world should we listen to you when all that's coming from your mouth is complete and utter bullshit?!"
Tubbo really felt as though he wasn't supposed to be hearing this conversation. But he couldn't exactly leave anymore, the elevator had already closed shut behind him.
Surprisingly enough, Techno turned out to be his saving grace, his head popping around the corner that led into the kitchen and immediately catching Tubbo's eye.
He cleared his throat loudly, causing the family to stop in their argument to look towards the piglin hybrid, who rolled his eyes and gestured his head towards Tubbo, who waved awkwardly as four pairs of eyes settled on him.
"Oh my primes, Tubbo I'm so sorry." Phil immediately started, stepping towards the boy still standing by the elevator, "how much of that did you see?"
Tubbo rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, trying not to watch the obvious glaring contest currently happening between Tommy and Wilbur. "Uhm- not too long, why is Wilbur screaming at Tommy?"
"Tommy, why don't you explain?" Wilbur bit out, a mocking tone to his voice.
Tommy rolled his eyes, "Tubbo will probably have more fucking sense than you do, considering he definitely has more brain cells than you." Tommy looked to Tubbo and gestured for him to make his way over.
Tubbo looked at Phil, who shook his head and shrugged, immediately removing himself from the situation entirely by making his way to the kitchen where Techno was.
Nervously, Tubbo made his way to the couch, carefully taking a seat as Tommy whirled towards him, leaning more comfortably on the couch now that he wasn't being screamed at.
Wilbur on the other hand, rolled his eyes and sat on a separate seat entirely, arms folded and resting on his knees as he glared at the floor.
"So, last night, I was on patrol right?"
